Breakfast With Madeline Grace

We went to St. Louis for a visit over Labor Day weekend. Madeline really enjoyed the plane ride looking out the window and talking to everyone who walked past or who sat close. She even took a nap for mommy which was really nice! We were able to visit with mommies cousins aunts and uncles, high school friends, college friends and Madeline's great grandma Julie! Madeline decided to take off with her walking while we were in St. Louis showing off for all! She has added even more to her vocabulary "grandma, pizza, cheese, Katie, walk, run, mama mia and of course weee" Madeline is undecided about Ice Cream! She will take one lick and then turns her head--we are not sure where she gets that from! Madline has become such a big girl now that she is even wearing pony tails! My Aunt Donna made Madeline a few very cute hats while we were home! Madeline was so cute she went and got it and put it on her head wearing it the rest of the night! Where did our baby go?

Madeline enjoyed the second part of the summer at the park, eating watermellon, the cob of the corn and visiting with her Papa who came out to help my sister with her three. Madeline continues to make strides toward her walking! She has more words that she has added to her vocabulary and more hand movements to the songs she loves. She can say "itsy bitsy" while moving her hands around to the words of the song. The wheels on the bus she is able to do the hand motions for the wheels, horn and the wippers. She likes to yell out "beep, beep" when it comes time for the horn. What will be next? Walking by herself??

Madeline is standing and trying to walk by herself. The weather this summer has been not very sunny! Last weekend the sun finally came out so we packed up the chariot and road our beach cruisers to the beach to enjoy the water, sand and mostly the SUN! Madeline loved putting her feet in the water!

We went to the Ventura County Fair with our friends Sean, Kristinn and Brooke! We had a great time! The lights, animals and all of the music was enough stimulation to keep the girls happy! Madeline even got to share her chariot with her freind Brooke!

Grandma A came out to play and watch Madeline for a week this summer. Madeline had such a great time and we of course enjoyed visiting and having her out here. Madeline is changing so quickly adding so many new things to her day that it was fun to share it with her grandma. Grandma H was also out here at the same time so Madeline was feeling a bit spoiled with all of the attention and love! Madeline's favorite thing to do is walk around the house with her push toy or ride on top of a push toy! She has 18 plus words adding new ones everyday. This week "cheese, bath, and wee when she is rolling herself over the beach ball. She says "bye dad" every morning when he is leaving for work! Hard to believe she is 13 months old!

On fourth of July we headed out on our beach cruisers with Madeline and her friend Sophia in the Chariot! We went to the harbor and participated in all of the festivities. Madeline enjoyed the day visiting and playing with Sophia! What a great weekend!
