In the Arms of An Angel

The other day I was home with both children, and it was a rainy day. I suddenly heard Sarah's song...In the Arms of An Angel...........and most of you know where this is going. That awful SPCA commercial was on. The one that most times I can't stand to even listen to, let alone watch. Well, Sophia did. I heard her start crying and was so emptionally devastated by the shots on the screen. She came to me, at 2 years old with the saddest look in her eyes and tears pouring down her cheeks.
She could barely make the words out to tell me about "the doggie with one eye" and "they help the kitty that was afraid mommy" Such a compassionate person at an early age.
After snuggling with her some, she went to the couch and gathered all four of my "other children" around her and gave them some love. I explained to her that mommy and daddy love animals too, that is why we have 4 dogs!

WTH?

I am curious why I have these random Japanese or Asian responses on my blog. Cryptic messages from unknown people.
Are there just random people that are able to respond to my blog for whatever reason they have. Other than boredom, I don't think I want to know.

So, Mr. Asian Man/Woman.............WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Summer Fun

So Grayson is done with kinder, thank god. This year has been a trying one for him. He originally started off the year on the right foot, then lost his way a bit. His reading level and math target were a bit off. We worked together and have him on par now...and attending SMU for a week this summer.
Sophia is officially potty trained. She did it on her own pretty much. A little bribery didn't hurt either. She knows that when she is out of pull ups at night, then we will go to Cinderella's Castle, AKA Disney (Orlando...since that really is the only one to go to)
Summer has begun. One set of grandparents came and left, and now we are preparing for our visit to NC. We have our Hawaiian Falls passes and are ready, except that I have an awful insect bite on my neck. No sun, no swim for 10 days.
The kids are getting bigger by the moment and I do believe that Sophia likes staying home and sleeping in. Something so peaceful about having a cup of coffee and having her walk out in the morning for a snuggle.

We will ROCK YOU

Today marked an interesting time for maturity with the kids. Sophia at 2 tells me "Led Zeppelin is my favorite band", then Grayson comes in with a "They stink, I like Queen!"..ok hmmmmm are they seriously doing this??? Right now I hear "We will Rock You" blasting from one bedroom, while in another Sophia is listening to "Whole Lotta Love" and running around in her Tinkerbell costume...........you need photos right. Yeah, this is a great photo opportunity.
Grayson turns 6 very soon, and just last night I was scrolling through pics of him just last year. He has grown up too fast. Yes, Grayson...you have. This little boy that would kiss every booboo I had now laughs when I stub my toe. Atleast Sophia is still my little love muffin and says "I SMOOCH IT MOMMY!" Let's see when that will stop.
In an effort to try and make life healthier I have switched us to an eating clean diet. Things from the earth. This concept is difficult for the other residents in my house, and some family members. Whole Grain does not mean....."whole grain". Also, fruit snacks are not fruit. Soooo I have this battle daily with the two men in my house. BOOO on them, since I am the one that makes the grocery list and plans the menu.

MALL Window shopping

Today was another training day. I started my day off just perfectly. Grayson came to bed....my bed and proceeded to cough on me to the point he puked. He puked all over the place. It was disgusting. That was at 4am and lasted a long time. At 830 I had to take Sophia with me to my walk with Auntie Angie. I was a bit nervous that things would be icky with her, but she was a good girl and sat still in the stroller.
Grayson stayed home and played Battleship with Daddy. He had no fever, just felt icky.
Angie and I had some "deep thoughts" during our walk. Funny things happened too, like this guy that was sleeping in a couch near the ice cream place, and we both agreed that the hair salon there needed a makeover itself.

Well I am off to go tend to more household things, never enough time here at the Dozier house.

Didn't ya know

So today started off on a wacky note. My car battery was dead, and I had a lot to tend to on the home front. Grayson kindly offered me is bike....to get to Auntie Angie's house. Which, is quite a distance by the way. His excuse,"well you need to walk anyway mommy"
I went for my walk with Angie and returned to a house a mess, as if my efforts of cleaning on days, 1,2 and now three were all in vain. I think it must be a gene that men lack prior to a certain age...the cleaning gene.
Work has been interesting, and stressful...it is ofcourse TAKS time. Grammie wants to plan a trip with the kids..when I truly want to just do NOTHING on the beach by myself. No offense Grayson and Sophia but sometimes I have to be honest. I encourage my gal friends to take a girls' trip. I wonder if any of them will ever take me up on it. Angie and I had fun on our trip this summer, it was relaxing and just what the doctor ordered.
Sophia, you are still obsessed with being naked. You are taking off your diaper outside and running around saying booty booty still. I particularly liked it when you were naked on the trampoline. Ummmm you won't be doing that in a few years, I hope!
Ok, this part is for the none squemish...(spelling)_So, ladies it is that time of the month and as you know you NEVER get alone time anywhere even the potty. Well I think Sophia has been scared for life now. She keeps running up to me and pointing at my vajajay saying BOO BOO...it hurt? Yeah, sorry I had to blog~!

100 days of school

We have been busy here at the Dozier house. Sophia is trying to potty train herself, with many mistakes I must add...and Grayson is leraning how to read. Lots of major things going on, that I should clearly blog about.
As I sit and type Sophia is running around the house naked screaming BOOTY BOOTY, LOOK AT MY BOOTY. The dogs are barking, and Grayson is playing DS. MONTE CHRISTO can Calgon take me away or what? Hence, my lack of blog time! I wish I could tape this. Well...I was going to tell you about Grayson's 100 day project, but crap she has some screws that I am sure are very important. I gather her father should have NOT placed them at eye level for her to grasp.
