Christmas Morning

This is the first Christmas we have spent away from our families since having kids. Although we missed our families very much, the kids had a great time opening gifts that didn't have to fit into our suitcases. We had a great day! Ethan and Aliana had so much fun with all their new toys, they never even had time to fight with each other! It was wonderful!

We did things a little backwards and let the kids open their stockings last, only because there was candy in them and I didn't want them eating it that early.

First Steps

So my baby is 13 1/2 months and she just took her first few steps, finally. For the last couple of weeks she has been standing alone without holding on for a few seconds at a time and then falling. Today while I was talking on the phone with my mom she just decided to stand up and walk towards her daddy. We caught it on video on the 3rd attempt. I really thought she would walk early, but no such luck. I am glad she is finally getting it!!!

Williamsburg, VA

We have always wanted to visit Williamsburg. It has been on our top places to see on the East Coast since we moved to North Carolina 6 years ago. Well last week we finally got the chance to go. We got to see the main historical sites in Yorktown and Jamestown as well, it was well worth the wait. Fall is my favorite season and it was beautiful to see all the colorful trees. The kids had a great time, Ethan loved seeing all the horses and even got to pet a few. It was a great trip full of great American History.

Sorry the glare is from the windsheild, but the tree lined street on the drive through Jamestown was beautiful! It was like this to Yorktown too. Just georgeous.

Halloween-Meet The Flinstones & Bam Bam

I love to dress up as a family, it's so much fun. Since my kids are still young and will wear what I want them to it's easy. I'm sure we will outgrow our family themes, so for now I get to have fun! We had a great time this year and Ethan loved trick-or-treating. He couldn't wait to eat all his candy. Picture taking is not an easy task around here, hardly any cooperation and usually grumpy faces.

Pumpkin Patch

I always love to go to the pumpkin patch to get some fall pictures. We really didn't have fall weather, it was in the 80's and hot. As usual Ethan did not want his picture taken with the pumpkins, that's why he looks so grumpy. He warmed up though once it got fun for him. He loved the playground they had there and his favorite was the big tractor he got to see. Aliana loves to put everything in her mouth, so it was no surprise that she licked one of the pumpkins.

Moving on up

Aliana loves her new view form her big girl seat now. She loves being able to "talk" and interact with all of us, now that she can see us. It's great to see her growing up, but sometimes I wish she could still be my little baby.

No problems sleeping.

Marbles Museum

While Grandma was still here visiting we wanted something fun to do that the kids would enjoy. Ethan loved Marbles the last time we went, and he had such a great time this day too. Aliana loved having the freedom to play, there was always something for her to do. It is the best feeling to see your kids having such a great time!
