Christmas Eve/Christmas Day 2013

We gave the kids pajamas on Christmas Eve. They were very excited! They both got their favorite things; balls for Tate...
 ...and trains for Parker
Courtney got some silly pj's too.
Christmas Morning...Santa brought a train for around the tree. Parker had been dying for this and had so much faith that Santa would bring the ONE thing he wanted! We video taped Parker waking up to the sounds of the train. He was thrilled to come downstairs and see that train!
(Out of order) This was Christmas eve. After Tate was in bed, Parker helped me put cookies out for Santa. He was so cute and excited. I loved seeing him so happy. Brett worked that day but came home after the kids were in bed and helped set up the presents.
Santa even put candy in the train!

Tate loves trains too but at the time, he LOVED Winnie the Pooh.
Tate likes sleeping with stuffed animals and he found just the right spot for Pooh in his bed.
 Stockings

The boys received a play table from Mom and Dad for Christmas. They weren't too impressed with it, but we enjoy having a space for them to play on and keep toys off the floor.
Later in the morning, we went to Nana and Papa's house.
Nana and Papa gave them a train set for them to share. They have loved this set, it is durable and left out year round after the Christmas tree train is put away for the year.
 Fondue dinner
Gingerbread houses. I don't have picture of the finished products but I know Courtney does. Courtney did a log cabin made of pretzel rods and a chocolate tiled roof, Cam and Madi did a barn made of red licorice with marshmallow sheep and Brett and I did a brick house made of Trident cinnamon gum. They all turned out amazing!
Parker's gingerbread house. Tate just ate candy :)
My mom found a groupon deal for Pump It Up so we went with the Durant family.
Somehow we all wore BYU colors and shirts, GO COUGARS!
 The whole group.
Grandma Barb took everyone to "A Christmas Carol" play. It was really good.
The rest of us.

Pre-Christmas December 2013

A boy with his gun and cat.
Annie gave this to the boys and an advent calendar. Parker was THRILLED to make this. Trains and treats, two of his favorite things!
He made me do the icing just like the box.
It was really funny watching the boys try to eat them.

A quick picture for my parent's Christmas card.
 Pirate Tate

The Holiday Train goes across the country and just so happens to stop in Loretto, where Annie lives. The train side opens up and bands play music. They had a food drive and bonfires, free hot cocoa and cookies. It was sub-zero and in the choas of loading the van, we forgot the boys coats. We had everything but the coats; hats, snow pants, gloves, scarfs, mittens and boots. We did however have their blankets in the car. Being the heartless parents that we are, we figured they would survive.
We didn't stay too long and then headed over to Annie's for dinner with my parents.
Annie was sweet and had gifts for the boys.

Parker's preschool had a Christmas program. They sang some songs and did a book exchange. Parker did some of the hand motions but didn't sing. Courtney had just come in town and came with me.

The last year of the Hollidazzle Parade. We are sad to see it go. Apparently, so was everyone else because it was way more crowded than previous years. Dad was sick, but we picked up Mom and Courtney.

Things got silly on the ride home when we shared cookies and a rice krispy treat. Courtney started teasing me about something and when I argued back Parker said, "Mom, let's all calm down" it was pretty funny.
No time for dinner, the boys have a lot of work to do on their computers!
Reading stories with Dad.

Around Here: November- December 2013

Grandma and Grandpa Lindsay came to visit.
Brett tiled our downstairs powder room and our master bath as well.
 Robot Parker
The cold weather started, so we had more play time in the basement.
Tate liked to steal Daddy's hat when he cam home.
The first snow is always fun, unlike the last snow.
 Daddy horse
Parker wanted me to take this picture.
 Cute brothers.
I can't remember what he was excited about...
 Helping with the laundry.
So, of course Tate had to try something on.
 Playing with Dad's phone.
 Our little climber.
 Phone picture.
Ward Christmas Party, the boys were scared but no one ran away this year, haha.
Tate fell asleep sucking on his coat zipper.
 Parker, "Tate, you wanna snuggle?"
 Feeding baby.
 Being silly.
 Gross.
Being funny at dinner, he loves to make Tate laugh!
 It worked!
 Burying Tate in the toys.
Parker takes good care of his favorite monkey.
Then Tate threw a fit because he wanted the monkey. Lucky for Tate, Parker usually shares.
 Ready for church.
Tate jams himself like this when he is pouting.
Parker building with blocks.
