Happy Valentines Day!

So it was our first valentines day being married! Brian surprised me for our valentines date a little earlier, just because the place had been booked out for valentines since December! He took me to the Roof Restaurant Thursday night. It was so good and I highly recommend it! My cousin Craig works there and it was fun seeing him at his work. On Sat., Valentines Day we went snowboarding with Brian's parents up at Brighton. I got to tryout my snowboard that Brian got for me for Christmas and I loved it, I have always borrowed or rented snowboards when we have gone in the past and it was nice to be able to go with my own equipment this time! We came home after the day snowboarding tired and a little sore so we went over to the Rec. Center and soaked in the hot tube and played in the pools which I don't know if that was the greatest idea because water just makes you more tired! After that we came home we made some pizza and then had a little chocolate fondue party, we just bought a fondue maker thing for valentines day with a gift certificate we had left over from our wedding! It is the coolest thing, so easy to use and easy to clean up we will definitely be trying cheese fondue sometime soon!

Rookie and Brian BFFs

She looks like she is an angel, which she is at times....sometimes Brian falls asleep with her, which is so cute and I had to take a picture with her being so calm and good with him sleeping....but this act of cuteness hardly lasts long at all! She has to be on you or touching you all the time specially when she is chewing on a toy. She also loves to climb along the top of the couch like a cat and play with my hair when I have it up in a messy bun. She has sit and lay confused, where she instead of sit goes straight to lay so she can get the treat faster. She loves climbing under the fence and running around, but it scares me to death that she is going to get hit with our house being on a corner.

Brian will be fixing that soon hopefully now that he has more time on his hands! Brian has been working with a company for sometime now and because of the economy they were having to make some layoffs and he felt sometime that we needed to be looking for another job so he has interviewed at a couple of places. Last Tuesday came and I got the phone call that they had let him go. In which time we have been waiting to hear back from the other companies if they have hired him or not. So Tuesday was really scary for us. Wednesday while I was at work and Brian was fixing up things on our house, he was up to his elbows in mud and got a phone call, instead of checking the caller id he just answered it and it was Questar gas, offering him a position! I am so excited for him for this job it will be so much better for us, better benefits, better schedule, better everything! So he will be starting his new job in about a week. What makes this story better is that since Brian is such a hard worker his last job gave him a severance that will make it like he never missed a days pay! We are so blessed that things have worked out the way that they have! It all goes back to cutting our tithing check, not knowing if we would have enough to make things work at the first of this month!

So now that Brian is home, he at least has a buddy to follow him around. I am sure she likes this a lot better than being in the kennel while we are both at work. Rookie is growing like a bean and has a new found ghetto booty we might have to start thinking about a diet for our dog...
