Last week B & I traveled to Anaheim and Corona California! We had such a good time & the weather was beautiful!

Our very first day there, after we had flown in, we went to Disneyland! B was so excited!!! :)

Our first full day there we had an 8hour tour to Downtown LA, the OLD LA that is now an awesome Mexican part of the city, The Walk of Stars, Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater, the Hollywood sign, drive bys of Celebrity's homes, the famous Rodeo Drive, The Farmer's Market and Venice Beach! I think our favorite part was Venice Beach! It was beautiful and there were some wild characters out there! All I could do was stare!! ha! But while on the Walk of Stars, I was able to get a picture of 1) the crowd that was around Michael Jackson's star and 2) a picture of MJ's star!!! I mean, even though he and I shared a Birthday, and I did like his music, I was not that big of a fan, but it was history.....we were flying in the day of his funeral.......

In the OLD LA, the Mexican part, there were shops full of colorful things!

Then the next 2 days was spent at Disneyland's Magic Kingdom and California Adventure parks! We had a blast! It wasn't too crowded and we were able to ride rides multiple times with out too long of a wait! Magic Kingdom is so much smaller than the one in Flordia, but so quaint and FUN! I will definitely be going back!!! and on THURSDAY night I was able to see someone that I think is Famous!!!!! Derek from Dancing with the Stars!! I knew my girls at MUH and my cousin Mary Raye would TRULY appreciate it!!! I was so excited!!! and of course I got his picture! See below!!!

On Friday night we were able to meet up with Sean and his Wife To Be - Katie!! We haven't seen Sean, in like, FOREVER and it was awesome to see him! I was just so glad to meet Katie! She is truly a warm and genuine person! She was so welcoming, I just felt like I had been friends with her forever! Sean caught and AWESOME girl! :) Congrats to Sean & Katie! They are Hawaii right now for their Honeymoon! Lucky ducks!!! ;)

After that visit we were off to the wedding!!! What a fun time, and beautiful too! It was at the beautiful home of Katie's Dad & StepMom, Mr. John & Mrs Sue! Sean looked so handsome and Katie was breath taking!!! Katie's son, Jonathan was a HAM on the dance floor & such a sweetie!!! They make one beautiful family!!!! Phil & Heather (one of Brian's old college roommate and his wife) got to come too. They live in Memphis also, and I said it is kind of funny that we had to come across the country to visit with one another! HA! But it was good times as always! Sean & Katie had an artist at their wedding painting the scene, landscape of their wedding day and ceremony the entire time! It was so cool just to walk by every once in a while to see the progress of her painting! It was awesome!!! Thank you guys for inviting us to be a part of you big day!! We love you!!!

No one told me that I needed to bring winter clothes to Southern California in July. IT IS FREEZING HERE. Ok, so not really freezing, but it is way CHILLIER than at home. I mean, I packed like I was going to Memphis in the Summer (aka: 800 degrees, Humidity @ 900 decimals & Heat Index of 1,000). Anaheim: Highs in the 70s, but in the shade it is like 60. Lows in the low 60s. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE IT and am eating it up, but LORDY, I didn't expect to be so cold! ;) Soooo, B was super sweet to me and took me to Target last night @ 10pm and (keep in mind with the 2 hour time difference we were walking zombies in there) let me get the below hoodie jacket! I do love the yellow! and I had a friend (and you know who you are!) tell me just recently that I looked pretty in yellow so I went for it!

but besides being a tad bit chilly, we have ALREADY had a fabulous time out here. DisneyLand is so quaint and fun! The people are totally different to say the least! B & I actually look out of place! ha! and today we went on an 8 hour tour through LA and got to see all the big places that you think of....like Rodeo Drive, the Kodak Theatre, celebrity's homes, and The Walk of Stars and OMG you should have SEEN the people at Micheal Jackson's star! I ACTUALLY got to get a picture of it! but MAN, it was nuts!! I haven't seen any celebrities! I am still keeping my eyes peeled for any celebs that might make a showing! and I am totally embarassed to say how many pictures I have taken already! ha!!!

Anyways, I just thought it would be fun to at least post one story while out on vacay! :)

A visit that I forgot to post about last night that happened on Friday night! I feel bad that I didn't include it in on my 4th of July post! :( My brother and his girlfriend Wendy had come to Memphis for the day to go to the Zoo and afterwards came by, hung out with us and then we went to dinner!!! :) We had a good time! I just wish they could have stayed with us!!! Thanks for coming and visiting with us!!! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!! Thank you for spending time with us!!!

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!
I had a really fun weekend this weekend! Saturday B & I thought we would try and go some where different to see fireworks.....we went Downtown. It was definitely a different experience. TONS more people than we are used to and of COURSE there had to be an "issue" with the crowd....on down the street from us, a bystander decided to set off his own fireworks and caught the park on fire....the fire trucks had to come and put it out.....I got video of it on my camera, I will try to post that soon also! Only in Memphis right? ha! and of course the people watching was AMAZING! :)
Also, this weekend, Julie & David came to town to see Brooklyn and to 'pend the night with B & I! We got to spend the afternoon and some of the evening with Joe & Amy and Brooklyn! It was such a good time just sitting around with good friends! It makes you appreciate who you have in your life! Enjoy the below pictures! Brooklyn has gotten so big, 6 weeks old this week! TIME FLIES!!!
