Zoo Membership + 1!!

Saturday afternoon late, we went and got us a Memphis Zoo membership! + 1 for a Grandparent, Uncle, Aunt or Friend to accompany us for free! It was warm, but there was a breeze, so it did make it tolerable. We didn't see everything, we just went through the monkeys to the Polar Bears! with a pit stop through their "Birds & Bees" exhibit! I think we will really be getting great use out of this! P was entertained with the people JUST as much as the animals!
:)

The ducks cracking me up!

If only they had camera's!

The other morning when I was dropping P off at MJ's after an appt, I discovered REALLY quick what a celebrity feels like when the paparazzi mobs them! I walked in the door and 6 little kids (remember 5 girls & 1 little boy) came running over saying "Piiiiierce" in their quiet little voices! They were so excited to see him! I couldn't even set the car seat down! and when I finally set it down they were ALL leaned over the car seat softly touching him and holding his hands! Even Mackenna was kissing on his hands! It was amazing! MJ had to say "y'all step back so Miss Stacy can get Pierce out so he can play!" They all immediately backed up and couldn't wait for me to get him out of the car seat! It was insane! but I was so thankful to know that he is loved and cherished while we are at work! We are SO thankful for our day care and MJ! :)
So, when you meet Pierce just remember he is a celebrity in his own little world!
;)

I'm kind of a Big Deal in Paris, Ocean Springs, Foley, Day Care, to my Momma & Daddy.......to a lot of people and places! ;)

It's Hot........

....and we need a Pool!

- In reference to the Watson commercials with the girl that said "IT'S HOT, AND YOU NEED A POOL!" :)

Mr. P is LOVING the water hose! Every night when we go out to water, he is pulling that water hose to his hands, feet & face!
Do we have a water bug on our hands?

A Bluegrass Visit.....

We all headed to Louisville, KY this weekend for a family visit! We first met up with B's GrandDad & GrandMom! We also got to visit with Uncle Tom & Uncle Jim the same day! They were smitten with Pierce, I believe. GrandDad kept calling him Peanut, which I loved! He was such entertainment! He even fell asleep in the Jump-A-Roo! So, funny! It was great to visit and we hated that our day had to end...................

While we were in the Bluegrass State, we also got to visit Aunt Muggy in Pee Wee Valley! She was so sweet the whole time saying "Brenda, you didn't lie, he is a cute baby!" ha! Again, he was pure entertainment! We also got to see Uncle Charlie & Judy, cousin Patrick and his sweet girlfriend Whitney, Danielle and Aunt Joanie! and AGAIN, we hated for our day to come to an end....

Ok, so I had to share this, B was making me laugh so hard about ALL the stuff that we brought for a 2 night trip! This was the cart trying to leave on Sunday morning! HA!!! This is what a baby does to you.....makes you pack WAY to much! :)

After we got all that loaded in the car we headed to a part of town called the Highlands to meet Phil & Heather (who had just MOVED to Louisville, the night before) for Breakfast! It is the neatest place! Lynn's Paradise Cafe. If you are ever in the area, you MUST have breakfast or lunch or dinner there! It is a sight to see and SO MUCH to look at! Pierce was so good while we ate because there were so many artsy items around! Such as: mannequin legs on the wall with PJ pants on, lamp shades made of men's neckties, trees in the middle of the restaurant, lamps hung up side down....and MUCH more! It was awesome! and OH MY, the food, to die for!!! I had a Gorilla Coffee, it had 2 shots of espresso (mistake on my part, I didn't think I would sleep that night - ha!) and chocolate and BANANA syrup in it! DELISH! Ohhh, and in the front there is a horse that is to be made to look like a toaster and the HAND SEATS, of course P had to have his picture in them! ;) I could go on and on, but you check out the website and the pictures below.....
:)

In High School.....the Madrigals sang this song.....and it brought back memories this weekend, of singing this song and just in general, loving the State of Kentucky....it is so green and clean and fresh! So, I posted some of the words to the song..... :)

My Old Kentucky Home

The sun shines bright in the old Kentucky home,
'Tis summer, the darkies are gay;
The corn-top's ripe and the meadow's in the bloom,
While the birds make music all the day.

The young folks roll on the little cabin floor,
All merry, all happy and bright;
By 'n' by Hard Times comes a-knocking at the door,
Then my old Kentucky home, goodnight.

Weep no more my lady
Oh! weep no more today!
We will sing one song for the old Kentucky home,
For the Old Kentucky Home far away.

6 Months!!!

6 Months Old!
Time REALLY does fly when you are having fun!!
He is at such a fun stage right now! I just kiss on him ALL the time!
I love love to hear him laugh and giggle! and squeal and babble! He is truly happy and SUCH a good baby! We are greatly blessed and OH SO thankful!!!

This Month:
  • Loves on some green beans & peas!
  • Loves when we make a palette in the floor!
  • Loves his Discovery Center and laughs when he pushes the button for the music!
  • Is make the "K" sound, like the K sound when you say "Kiss", it is long and drawn out, B says he is copying me, because I do that when I smile at him! and it isn't so great when he does it with a mouth full of green beans! :)
  • Is SITTING UP!
  • His hair has become blonder with each passing day and his eyes a little darker and to me looks like a little greenish.
  • When he is on his palette on the floor, he is turning a full 360 on his tummy, like spin the bottle! around and around and around!
  • Babbling, saying "bababababa"
  • Army crawling!
  • KNOCK KNOCK ON WOOD, but has slept through the night several nights!
  • Is fixing to go up to the next size diapers!
  • Weighed 16 pounds 11 and 3/4 oz at his doctor visit 6/1!

We are so in love with you, Pierce! We hope you know it!
We are so thankful God put you in our lives!
We were SO boring before you! Now we couldn't be having more fun!
