We all headed to Louisville, KY this weekend for a family visit! We first met up with B's GrandDad & GrandMom! We also got to visit with Uncle Tom & Uncle Jim the same day! They were smitten with Pierce, I believe. GrandDad kept calling him Peanut, which I loved! He was such entertainment! He even fell asleep in the Jump-A-Roo! So, funny! It was great to visit and we hated that our day had to end...................

While we were in the Bluegrass State, we also got to visit Aunt Muggy in Pee Wee Valley! She was so sweet the whole time saying "Brenda, you didn't lie, he is a cute baby!" ha! Again, he was pure entertainment! We also got to see Uncle Charlie & Judy, cousin Patrick and his sweet girlfriend Whitney, Danielle and Aunt Joanie! and AGAIN, we hated for our day to come to an end....

Ok, so I had to share this, B was making me laugh so hard about ALL the stuff that we brought for a 2 night trip! This was the cart trying to leave on Sunday morning! HA!!! This is what a baby does to you.....makes you pack WAY to much! :)
After we got all that loaded in the car we headed to a part of town called the Highlands to meet Phil & Heather (who had just MOVED to Louisville, the night before) for Breakfast! It is the neatest place!
Lynn's Paradise Cafe. If you are ever in the area, you MUST have breakfast or lunch or dinner there! It is a sight to see and SO MUCH to look at! Pierce was so good while we ate because there were so many artsy items around! Such as: mannequin legs on the wall with PJ pants on, lamp shades made of men's neckties, trees in the middle of the restaurant, lamps hung up side down....and MUCH more! It was awesome! and OH MY, the food, to die for!!! I had a Gorilla Coffee, it had 2 shots of espresso (mistake on my part, I didn't think I would sleep that night - ha!) and chocolate and BANANA syrup in it! DELISH! Ohhh, and in the front there is a horse that is to be made to look like a toaster and the HAND SEATS, of course P had to have his picture in them! ;) I could go on and on, but you check out the website and the pictures below.....

In High School.....the Madrigals sang this song.....and it brought back memories this weekend, of singing this song and just in general, loving the State of Kentucky....it is so green and clean and fresh! So, I posted some of the words to the song..... :) My Old Kentucky Home
The sun shines bright in the old Kentucky home,
'Tis summer, the darkies are gay;
The corn-top's ripe and the meadow's in the bloom,
While the birds make music all the day.
The young folks roll on the little cabin floor,
All merry, all happy and bright;
By 'n' by Hard Times comes a-knocking at the door,
Then my old Kentucky home, goodnight.
Weep no more my lady
Oh! weep no more today!
We will sing one song for the old Kentucky home,
For the Old Kentucky Home far away.
