Brooklyn turned 12!!

Brooklyn turned 12 on 5/23!  We got to celebrate with her….
Playing softball!
Eating!
And swimming!!!

Those aren’t real watermelons but they sure do look it! The boys had a ball throwing them in the water!!  Ha!!

Happy Birthday B!!!!

Street Hockey!

We have a new sport in our cove!!!!

Street Hockey!   We don’t have a ton of traffic thankfully so they don’t have to scream…”GAME OFF…..GAME ON” when cars come through!  Ha!!!

5/21/21! Last Day!!!

Last day of school for 20/21 school year!
What a year!  We have THANKFULLY been in school 100%!
Social distanced, mask wearing all day, staying in the one room all day.... with only a few virtual days for the teachers getting their shots and a few sicknesses.
I am so thankful for Lakeland School System!!!
It was also a really sad day for me, it would be the last time Pierce would ever get to ride his bike to school..... and last day for Pierce and Reid to be in the same school for a couple of years, until Middle School!  Pierce is going to middle school.... what the world!??!  So hard on this momma's heart!!!

Had to get their bikes up there for the last time!!
The afterschool sidewalk crew!
:)

Then Reid got to spend time with the Dore's!

and pierce was invited to his friend Luke's house for a swim!!!
It has started where they are both going in different directions!  That was hard on me too!!!
Hello Summer!  Please be good to us!   :)

Camp Out At School!!

Reid got to do his work under his desk, AKA tent on one of the last days of school!!

A Delta Wedding!

(can you see the YELLOW PLANE!?)
5/15/21 (Happy Birthday Nona!)
We headed to the Delta!  Papa's old stomping grounds!
It was so nice to be back and visit!
I wish it hadn't have been such a busy weekend for us to visit more with family.... but one day!!

Land as far as the eye could see, crop dusting, tractor planting, old cars, slowed down tempo and the southern accents I love so, just about wraps it up!

Amelia and Odd Bods house playing!!!

The Bride and Groom coming to the reception in their cool old car!  Carson (groom) told me that it was his great great granddads!  Carson's dad drove it to high school and then parked it in a barn.  About 4 years ago Carson got it out and started tinkering and repairing and now he and Mia drive it everywhere!

Beautiful Mia with the boys!! !
Aunt Judy, Momma and Daddy
Aunt Judy and Daddy are siblings!
Traci and I!  My first cousin!  Her Mia is the one that got married!!
I loved the peaceful place they had for Carson and Mia to eat before they started visiting!!!

Amelia would say "I wanna pishure"
Then get ready for a selfie!  ha!!
They played and played!  And watched the crop duster and tractor pass by!!

Reid was obsessed with the car!

Taking "pishures"

Amelia gave me a ribbon!  ha!!!

The reception was in an old cotton gin!!!   The Gin of Dunleith in Leland, MS!

She is so funny!
I want my hair to be as beautiful as hers!  I mean, I think mine is WHITE underneath this color job, but I just hope it's as pretty!  Her and Mamaw got the best hair!

They were agitating each other saying they didn't want to get a picture!

They took pictures galore!
and they weren't 1/2 bad!!!

Pierce got the MOON!

The next morning Papa took us on a tour of his old stomping grounds!

Where he grew up!
His church!
I remember going here with Mamaw when I was little!  It was downtown!

Where Mamaw used to work!
We then visited the cemetery!!!
