And just like that, one day I get a call from the Middle School that says that Pierce’s throat hurts....and the next thing we know, we are quarantined. I went through so many emotions, as I still am..... I mean, we have done all the right things, followed all the rules, Brian and I are vaccinated, and if I could get the boys vaccinated I would.... We weren’t careless... I felt like I failed a huge life exam. And in some ways I still do. I felt so bad that Pierce had it and of course worried Reid would get it. We stayed separated as they requested we did. It was depressing to eat in shifts, everyone being in different rooms, especially Pierce. Then, don’t get me started on the schoolwork. I cried when I picked up Reid’s packet. And I know Pierce was so frustrated trying to make sure he was doing all his work correctly!!! His throat hurt for 8 days straight, his nose burned like fire and he really did have some breathing shortage. And with him and his allergy induced asthma. It was not fun on this momma’s heart...... We survived. But I don’t know if I’ll be the same afterwards. I worked from home and tried to help them with their schoolwork.
I gave up after a while, and measured 9 feet away from each other in the living room/breakfast area JUST so he could eat by us and us watch a show or two at night together!
Happy Birthday to ME also in all this!
Reid and Brian made a make shift candle holder so I wouldn’t blow on my cake! Paton pending! Ha!
Reid made a Yurt. I am not sure what all went on under there.... ha! Except when he cleaned up the other day, about 6 bowls appeared!!
