The Roderick family

Finally- Another post from the Roderick Family (meaning Me). It has only been abt 4-6 months! Could I really have been THAT busy that I didn't have 5 minutes to update our blog on what's going on with this family?? Well, it is possible, believe it or not! But maybe it WAS just laziness!! Well, anyway, here it is- a beginning to the catch-up game (you have to start somewhere)!!



Peyton has just finished his first season of SOCCER!! He is following in his brother's footsteps and his love of soccer. He has a totally different playing style, but he seems to love playing! I am just glad the season is over for him (and one more week for Brit) because it gives me more time to blog! But I will miss watching the little guys out there havin' fun on the field!!

Wow- I am so behind!! I haven't added to our blog recently but I am going to as soon as I get he camera back from Brian!! I also want to start writing down some of the cute things my kids say because they say the cutest things, and I always forget them!!! So please stay tuned..more posts to come soon, and now that it's SUMMER I will have even more- thank goodness for some warm summer weather!!

Peyton turned 4 a few weeks ago, and he wanted to celebrate it with a baseball birthday party! The kids had a fun time at Fircrest park playing a little ball, eating hotdogs, and cake, of course, with all of his friends!!!





Peyton also started a new school in April! He now attends Idlewild with Brit and Maddie- he's in the preschool there! This means longer days and more of them, which is great for his speech. He is doing so well and we are so proud of our "Wibbles", or "Wibble guy" as dad has nicknamed him. :) We love you Pey!

Little Brookie started out at 6 months doin' the army crawl!



...and it made her pretty happy! (most of the time :)


She still likes to stand and walk with her sis and brothers!


Later, she learned to sit...


Then, a day before she turned 7 months she started crawling!! She can now explore and find lots of new things to get into!!

Well, we didn't get to do much on spring break except sleep in!! Madisen had a couple of playdates/overnights, but not much for the boys. Of course when your (supposed) Spring Break includes a lot of rain, and even snow!- it makes it difficult to do much! Also, dad started a new job (yay!) and can't get time off- So...Brian and I planned to do something with the kids the week-end after Spring Break, and it ended up being beautiful weather, and a lot of fun!!

We spent Spring Break Week(end) in Seattle! I would reccomend it to anyone wanting a quick, inexpensive getaway!
We started theday off at the Daffodil Parade in Tacoma actually, Madisen had a dance performance down there, then we made our way up to the Pacific Science Center in Seattle.




The kids had fun exploring the exhibits, and they even had Pony Rides that day!

Then we saw the beautiful butterflies and a laser Beattles show!

We had dinner at Red Robin on the Pier...
..then on to our hotel for swimming and beautiful view of Lake Union and the Space Needle!!!




This was one big surprise for the kids and they totally loved it (especially the hotel stay because they had no idea we weren't traveling back home that night!) We already knew this but,...We LOVE seattle!!!

I know--it's out of control how many pictures we have posted of the baby! She's so stinkin' photogenic!! There will be more pics of our other wonderful children coming soon, I promise!! :)

Madisen just had her one year diabetes Anniversary, and to recognize this, mom took her and her bf, Emma, to The Jonas Brothers 3D Movie Experience!! (she mainly just went to see Nick, her fav, diabetic superstar!) We had so much fun!! Here are a couple of pics!



We are soo proud of you Madisen! You are OUR favorite Diabetes Superstar! You are doing Awesome and we love you!

I am way behind in posting my monthly pics of the quickly growing baby Brooke! Unfortunately, I cannot find my pic card for my camera (???) and I am having trouble downloading pics onto my computer! I'm in sad shape. :( But I just want to let you know that Brooke is all of a sudden a big girl baby!! Since she turned 5 months, she has been rolling over, eating solid foods (mainly rice cereal and applesauce) and she's even babbling! (she's been saying dada) She seems too young for all of this..or maybe it's just me not wanting my baby to grow up!! More pics coming soon!
