Spending the morning at Pretend City

I didn't realize this park had a water feature and was totally unprepared for this wet, sandy mess that both girls turned into. It was actually quite cold (ok, cold for Southern California) and by the time we left, the sun was setting, I'm pretty sure both girls and Kate were crying. I just had to document that they did have fun before all that happened.

I'm so grateful my grandparents could be there.

Ellen and Rachel got to go to the park on a not as rainy morning.

But still got to use the new umbrella!

I got to see Aimee and her kids. 

We've been friends since 3rd grade and it was so fun to see her after such a long time. 

I'm so glad we were both in town at the same time.

On a different day (yes, I know Kate's in the same outfit), I got to see my cousin, Amber.

Jeff took Ellen and Rachel to Pump It Up Jr. They got to play with their cousins there too. 

Apparently they loved it!

They also went for a ride on MAX.

We had a get together with the adults in the my family...

...and celebrated my birthday a few days late.

Ellen was thrilled to see Melissa for the first time since she's been back from her mission.

We flew to Portland the day after Christmas (my birthday!)

We exchanged Christmas gifts with family.

That night, we attended the Alder Extended Family Christmas Party.

Ellen and Rachel were thrilled to see their cousins.

The next morning we went to brunch with Jeff's family.
