Christmas 2008

Boy did we have a good Christmas this year! We went to Little Rock and we spent the whole weekend which was a lot of fun especially for me because I got to see my nefews and I also got a little break because my mom helped me out with Laney! Laney and Will didnt really know what to think about all of this Christmas stuff, but let me tell you... Drew will show them the ropes when they get a little older! I think that this was really the first year that Drew really got excited about Santa coming to see him, and it was SO cute! This was a fun Christmas watching Drew definately and it makes me really look forward to the upcoming years when Laney will be big enough to enjoy herself and really get into Santa. I cant wait to be able to cuddle up with her by the fireplace and read "The Night Before Christmas" and many other Christmas classics!

Comparisons-- you decide

Ok so you all probably think I am nuts but hear me out! I was looking for the DVD National Lampoons Christmas Vacation the other night when I stumbled across a few of my baby pics. NOW... all along I have said that Laney looks like her daddy, BUT that was until I found evidence that suggested otherwise. So, I have spent all morning scanning pictures from 1981, and looking for Laney pics that were similar. I know that I probably have some pics that show similarities a little better, but these are the only ones I could find for now. On the Pics with my dad-- I know its hard not to look at what my dad is wearing, but Laney and I had the same shape head! On the other pics of us asleep look at our cheeks! Aparently mine were pretty chubby too! If I can find some other pictures of us that look similar I will post them as soon as I can! So if you agree let me know-- and if you disagree-- keep it to yourself! Just kidding!

GO TEXANS!!!

Today Uncle Michaels team played Green Bay and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch him on TV! When we got home from watching the Texans WIN, I played with Laney on the floor for a little bit! We pulled out all of her toys and talked for a while! She is getting so good at holding her head up so I decided to get her Bumbo chair out for her to sit in. Her head was still a little too wobbly, so I then decided to put her on her tummy and I captured this picture!

She ROLLED OVER on her back! I couldn't believe it! Luckily it is Sunday so Ryan was there to witness it!

After we made such a big deal about Laney rolling over, Ryan got down on the floor to play with her thinking maybe she would do something else miraculous...

BUT...

With all of the excitement of the day

... they BOTH fell asleep! And that is the reason my blog was updated today! Hope you enjoyed!

This was Laney at Thanksgiving! Thanks to Susan we have pictures because my camera battery was dead! We went to Rogers to grandma and grandpa Bernthals house! It was a ton of fun but I ate way too much!

Here is a picture I took of Laneys cousin Will. I had to go to LR this past week because my cousin Marnie was in the hospital. Ashley and I took turns going to the hospital so the babies didnt have to go. Marnie was very sick and in intensive care due to a brain annurism. Due to multiple complications she passed away November 2nd at the age of 39. She was such a wonderful person and cousin and I will miss her a ton.

Here is a picture of Laney in the outfit that Marnie gave her before she died. It is SO SOFT and cute, and it will forever be a special outfit for Laney to remember her by.

Lets just say that Ryan has regressed a little...

Laney has finally gotten to the point where she loves to make faces at you--especially if you make them to her first! One day I was making a roll with my tongue and then sticking it out at her. I did it enough that she finally just did it back to me! It is hard to capture a picture of it so I just took a bunch in a row and here is what I got!

LIFE IS SO CRAZY WITH A LITTLE ONE!!!!!

Okay I am so sorry that I havent been very good at updating lately, but my life has been SO CRAZY lately that I havent had a chance to sit down and post! Laney is getting to be so big and so fun! She is now 10 weeks old and weighing in at a healthy 13 pounds 8 ounces and 23 1/2 inches long! She is my chunky monkey, but I prefer rolls over bones if you know what I mean! ALSO SHE IS NOW REALLY SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! She goes down around 9 or 10 and sleeps until 7:30! Yea!

At her 2 month check up Dr. Payton said that she is in the 98% on her weight and 97% on her height! So she is just perfect! Of course! She had to get 2 shots and she cried-- but only for a second! I think I cried longer than she did! So below are some recent pics of her! Enjoy!

Professional pics of Laney!

Here are some pictures that were taken by a girl named Kiplyn Campbell Horn. She is a Fayetteville girl who is trying to start up her own photography business, so she offered to take pics of Laney and I to try and build up her portfolio! Of course I had no complaints so she came over to the house one afternoon and took over 500 pictures! Here are just a couple of them! She was so good with Laney and VERY PATIENT!
