Brower Family Photography

I am SO excited to tell you that we are starting our own photography business! This is something that we have been interested in for a while. Jerrod and I have both taken photography classes, but it wasn't until this last year that we decided to actually do something about this little passion of ours, which has ended up growing into a huge passion. We have turned our den completley into a studio. We are excited to watch this business grow, but mostly want to capture those moments that are priceless. My very good friend Shelbi is a photographer and she has taken many photos of Kennedi. Everytime we have received those photos, we are just awed at the moments that she captures. They are beautiful. We want to capture those moments for others. I thank her for her inspiration. We are working on a website now to show our galleries. We will let you know when that is ready. Thanks to all of you for your love and support!

Happy Birthday Kennedi!!!!!!!

Image
I cannot believe that my baby is 1! It has been an amazing year. One of the best of my life. This past year has flown by. I am so blessed to be Kennedi's mommy. It has been so wonderful to watch her grow. She has changed so much. I was going to show a series of her growing, but I can't find the hard drive that we had to recover all of our old stuff onto. SO, that will come later. But, I will show you pictures from her birthday. Her birthday theme, of course, was Rubber Ducky. There were rubber ducks everywhere! It was crazy! We were able to celebrate her birthday with family and very close friends. My main project was the duck cake, and I ended up being quite pleased with it. It took about 4 hours the night before to bake the cakes and then about 4 hours the next morning to put it all together and ice it. Needless to say, I had a slight anxiety attack when we started to cut into it. haha. But, I did it for Kennedi and that was the best part. Everytime she saw it, she would get...

Halloween!!

Image
Jerrod's mom, sister and her boyfriend, were able to be here this year for Halloween because they came to visit for Kennedi's 1st birthday. It was so much fun. I hadn't planned on dressing up, but when we went to the Halloween costume store, we found some really cute witch hats and fun lashes. I wanted to be Elfaba from WICKED, but I ended up being this glamorus witch, and for those of you who have seen WICKED, Elfaba was NOT a glamorus witch, even though Galinda tried her best. It was lots of fun dressing up and taking Kennedi around our neighborhood. She, of course, was a ducky. She looked adorable...well, just see for yourself!

Pumpkin Patch

Image
The day before Halloween, we finally found time to go to the pumpkin patch. It was so much fun and the weather was perfect. It made for some great photos.

I did it!

Last night I did another practice round with Kennedi's birthday cake. I have to say that I am quite proud of this one. If you need a reminder about how the first one looked...just scroll down and you will see the HUGE difference! I think that the real one will be great. Now I have to figure out the bottom part of the cake where the duck will sit on. This took me about 1 1/2 hours to finish. Not bad. I am going to give this one away because we don't need to eat another duck cake! Soon, I will be known as the lady in the neighborhood who gives away duck cakes. haha.

Kennedi and the Duck Pond

Image
A couple of weeks ago, we went to Bradley Lake here in Puyallup to take some pictures for her birthday invitation. We were just wanting a pond or a lake behind her, so, when we got there and found ducks we were very excited. Kennedi LOVED the ducks. She was constantly making "ah ah" (duck quacks) noises and crawled after them. She would have gone right in the water if we would have let her. I was so much fun. She is in her Halloween costume and we thought that she fit right in with the ducks. So, here are some pictures. Notice the ducks in the background. She really wanted to get them. It was so much fun. These were one of those days that I always dreamed about having with my own little family. It is such a joy to see your little one get so excited about something like this. I loved this day. And, we got some great pictures. Next time we have to remember to bring the video camera!

ICE SKATING

Image
For our mutual activity a few weeks ago, we went ice skating. I hadn't been ice skating in a VERY long time. I mostly stayed close to the wall, but overall I did a good job! I didn't fall once. Jerrod went out there like he was a pro and slowly pulled me farther and farther away from the wall. It was a lot of fun and I really felt like a kid again.

FINALLY!!!!

Image
WE'RE BACK!! Finally I have decided to sit down and just do this. So many of you have asked why I haven't written in here in a while. It is nice to know that you all care to see how our family is doing. We have been SO busy. Well, for a while, during the Summer, we were without a computer. Our hard drive crashed on us! It was terrible and in order to restore our files, and pictures we had to send it to a specialist and get it all recovered. My advice to all of you...BACK UP YOUR FILES!! It was not fun having to worry about all of our precious and priceless pictures. It is definately a mistake that we will not make again. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JERROD!! Other than that, we have been doing great. We celebrated Jerrod's 27th birthday with some friends. I made shish-ka-bobs for the first time and I think that they turned out pretty good! I made it a football theme to help Jerrod kick off the new season. Kennedi wore her OU cheer outfit for the occasio TOMATOES GROWING OUT OUR EARS!!...
