My Sister

Image
Today I get to celebrate one of my best friends .  My sister, Laurel.  24 years ago my little sister was born.  As a 4 year old, I am sure I was incredibly excited to be getting a new baby sister.  Sure, I loved my little brother, but isn't that every little girls dream?  To get a baby sister so that all throughout our lives we could play dress up, make up, house, school, Barbies, etc.?!?!  Well, that "dream" didn't exactly turned out the way I wanted.  And, if any of you know Laurel, then you know exactly what I am talking about.  Sure, she would play those things with me every once in a while.  She was really good at ALWAYS letting me be the teacher.  :)  I thank her for that!  But, if you know Laurel, then you know that she would have much rather been outside, playing in the dirt, or playing baseball, or soccer, or football with my Dad and brother.  She was a FUN kid.  She loved others and loved to beat up on he...

A GREAT Weekend

This last weekend was great.   Family and fun.  Just what I love. My sister, Kylie just turned 8 years old, so she got baptized on Saturday.  I can't believe how big she is already.  She is such a sweet little girl.  We are so glad that she is in our family! Saturday night, I played around with Bauston and Kohen and got some cute photos. They are 6 weeks apart.  It is so fun to have a nephew.  I can't believe how much I love him.  He is so adorable.  He is about twice as big as Kohen! We celebrated Kylie's Birthday with some cake and ice cream. Sunday was a very special day.  Kohen was blessed.  I have been waiting for this for a while.  Because I had been so sick and other conflicts, we have had to put this off.  But, Sunday Jerrod was finally able to give him his blessing.  It was beautiful.  I am so thankful for the Priesthood in my life.  It is very real and a very beautiful thing.   Some of ...

House and Basketball

Dad: Kennedi, what do you want to play? Kennedi: House. Dad: House?  How do you play house? Kennedi: (Very matter-of-factly) You just choose who you want to be and then play!! Dad:  Oh, how about we play basketball? Kennedi:  Okay!! They then proceeded to play basketball for a good 45 minutes.  She has mad skills.  (She must get that from her Mom!)  Sorry Jerrod.  I am the one writing the blog here.  :)

At the Park

Last week we had a really nice day, so we walked down the street to our little neighborhood park.  The kids laughed and laughed.  I love those moments with my family.
