Samuel turned 6 months old on Friday. It is hard to believe half a year has already gone by, but it also seems like he's been with us forever. Here are some new developments this month...
- He slept through the night a couple of times, but then got sick and that just messed up everything we had established thus far. So, we are back to square one on that. He is really hating the idea of taking a nap right now...
- He rolls over onto his belly now, but still can't figure out how to get back onto his back.
- He eats cereal every night, but is still not very interested in it.
- He loves to play sitting up and can now reach for toys around him.
- He outgrew his swing... he tries to roll over in it and that just doesn't seem safe. I see now why they put a strap on it.
- He experienced his first Arkansas ice storm. As you locals know, we have been unable to get out of the house all week (Monday night through Friday) because of the ice. Many people lost power (and still don't have it back), although we did not (Thankfully!).
- He learned that snuggling with mommy is really not all that bad... I'm hoping it won't stop when he gets better :)
- He likes to hold his own spoon and sometimes makes it to his mouth, but then makes a sour face when he tastes the cereal on it.
- He can put his toes in his mouth. Bud was really impressed with this trick.
- He will grab our hands and clap them together. He still can't figure out how to do it with his own hands, but he loves clapping mommy and daddy's hands.
We had some problems getting a 6 month picture. He was much more interested in playing with the tag on his camel (Hump) than smiling for the camera. And, since he's still getting over his sickness, he wasn't in the best mood. These two were the best ones.
