Beautiful views. Skiing galore. Emma and Sam's paparazzi. Exploring Meribel (home of the 1992 olympics - at least the skiing portions). Delicious food. Christmas activities. Fun family time.

Skiing
Samuel got to try skiing for the first time. We signed him up for ski school one afternoon. He says he loved it, but as long as we were watching him he was wiping tears off his cheeks the whole time. He says, "I didn't ski as fast as mommy and papa, but I skied faster than a garbage truck on the highway." He says he was crying because he was so tired, which is a good possibility. He fell asleep in the middle of dinner that night. :) Emma also had to get in on the skiing action. She would have loved to try it too, but we thought standing on Lauren's skis was enough for now.
Not sure if this video will work, being posted from my phone... You may need to copy and paste the address to see it.

Snow!
Our first day in the snow. Emma ate the snow constantly. Sam made snow angels and enjoyed being thrown in it by all the adults. One of these pictures below is our view from our chalet and another is a view of the church in the village. Such a cute town, beautiful scenery and a great time had by all!
France vacay - days 1&2
We made it! Three planes and a car ride later we ended in The French alps for the first leg of our French adventure. The kids did great on our overnight flight, with a couple of delays, and lots of hurrying and waiting. The kids both slept on the plane, Sam really well and Emma okay. We arrived in Lyon and met up with Alyssa, Lauren, and Wei chi (mom and dad traveled with us). We stayed at a hotel there to recover from the travel and time change. Then headed to the French alps for the rest of the week. It is beautiful and I am in awe that we are actually here! Here are Some pictures from the travels below (many more coming soon)...

Dance Party!
Samuel and Emma have been practicing their dance moves lately. Apparently Samuel has dance parties at school and has picked up some new moves. He is dancing to the Clifford theme song. :)
I love this video of Sarah and Emma's dance party to Caroline's song…

Decking the Halls
As soon as we got home from Denver, we bought a Christmas tree and started our decorating. So fun with the kids this year. They have really enjoyed playing with the Nativity Set (the kid version). I heard Sam the other day say, "No that's the bad guy!" while playing with it. I didn't think there was a bad guy in the nativity set. :)
We had Clifford on in the background while trimming the tree…
"Cheese!" :)…

Christmas Card Picture Out takes
These two are so hard to photograph. They were even "cooperative" and in a good mood, but they still don't stand still long enough to get anything good.
This is my favorite…Wednesday, December 12, 2012
Denver Children's Museum
The Denver Children's Museum was pretty amazing. I have appreciated our Philadelphia Children's Museum membership so much as we explored in Philly, but also as it has gotten us into other museums for free! Such a good investment and fun thing to do with Papa and Grandma.
This was a really neat exhibit with building materials, plans, and tools to build different projects. Samuel and Papa built a car. Mommy and Emma's car didn't get finished, but we enjoyed watching brother and the big kids use real tools, nails, etc. to build so many different creations.
Emma thought the bed was for her, notice she is using a baby doll as a pillow…
The bubble area was a favorite stop…
Samuel's favorite part…
The kids got to stand inside a huge bubble. Samuel was a little nervous about it…
