We love camping at Wente Scout Reservation. This year we did some BB gun shooting, archery, kayaking, sailing, row-boating, fishing, and lots of swimming! Shelbie and Sydnie loved swimming. Scotty swam too but got out sooner and just wanted to play around on the beach. Everybody loved kayaking! It was so much fun. We also took part in the meal plan which made it so much easier on us. We didn't have to bring tons of food and extra supplies to cook it. That left us with a lot more time and energy to enjoy our activities.

Scott made this video awhile ago and I was looking at it and thought I would share. It has been 2 1/2 years and wow it has gone by quickly. I don't even remember them being this little. I don't even know who I am holding in this movie.

Elimination Communication
Things are not as exciting as one might expect around here. We are not going to officially start potty training until after Shelbie is in school and we stop going places all the time. I am sure I will post about it as we progress (or not) in it later. :-)

I've been feeling crafty...
I am not creative at all...but I am a pretty good xerox machine!
Here is a fun "monster" found here but I don't crochet or knit so I just got some super fuzzy fabric and sewed a little square...I swiped some black socks from Scott's drawer and made the arms and legs. I am thinking about adding a mouth using rick-rack...but I am not sure, I am getting used to seeing him this way.
I have no idea how she did the straps but I thought the sewn-in criss-cross would be great for kids to just pull on without having to worry about the ties. Just measure on their body so it isn't too tight (like Scotty's is...I didn't measure him and it's a little tight).
I love these cute aprons made out of jean legs (scotty's has a firetruck iron-on, shelbie's a Hawaiin jewel flower, and sydnie's has a heart)
Little Red Riding Hood cape (had to adjust the size and shape of hood once it was done because it had to fit just perfectly...*wink*) I didn't use the measurements given in the turtorial because it was for Shelbie not me. :-)

Our friends came down to visit and the kids played away! We love you, Larsen's! We had a great time even though you got a parking ticket (which I should have paid for) and a lot of time was taken up cutting hair (which we are very grateful for) :)
