Canucn
We are in Cancun for work/play. Scott has a conference here for two days and then we are staying extra days to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We, I mean I am having a blast...he can't be having too much fun in those seminars. I don't have a camera or my cell phone to use as a camera so no pictures until later tonight. I am alone all day today and tomorrow and then we can be together and have some fun. today I stayed in side mostly...took a long relaxing bath, doodled on the computer, ironed all our clothes and about to take a nap. Pool tonight after dinner and a walk along the beach.
funnies
Carpooling never gets old. Every time we do it the kids act like it is their first time having a friend ride with them. They get so excited and start acting silly. In all their giddiness Scotty started to tell Georgia that his grandma and grand dad were coming in just four more days, but that grand dad "couldn't come because he had to go to work at a far away place". Sydnie said "yeah he's a worker dude who plumbs." then Georgia said "yeah, he picks the plums!" ... funny conversations those guys have. makes me giggle inside!
My mom came down to babysit for us while we enjoy Cancun for this week. My kids assumed that when grandma comes down grand dad comes too. So as we have talked about it in preparation for our leaving we have emphasized that it is just grandma this time. Scotty, I guess, was still hoping that grand dad could come too cause he always said both of them. But he realized that he told Georgia that they would both be coming and then fixed it by saying that he couldn't - cause he had a business conference in Indiana. Then Sydnie was explaining why he was away - for a Mr. Rooter Plumbing conference.

4-year old conversation
Scotty - "I love camping with my father."
Sydnie - "It's not called father, it's daddy."
Scotty - "no, father is your dad in church talk"
I absolutely LOVE the conversations that my twins have with each other. I wish I was better at remembering to write them down. I have to write it immediately or I forget what they say and then can't write it down later...I rushed to my computer to type this, btw. It is the most fun thing ever, to watch them with each other. They are best friends and chat about everything! and they say things in the cutest 4-year old way.

Scotty's Prayer
I was laying in bed with Scotty when he was sick at my parents house . His prayer was so cute that I pulled out my phone and recorded the rest of it. I am glad that he continued on with his cute prayer. It's too dark to see anything, just listen.
"Please bless Sadie that she will not get sick and please bless mommy that she will protect sadie and me also and please bless daddy that he will be safe at Japan and I say these things...."

Our 2011 Summer
Well, since we had a baby due in June, we knew that we weren't going to be able to do much this summer. All 3 kids did swim lessons everyday for the month of July. They loved it! On July 30th Shelbie was baptized and Sadie was blessed. I knew that our friends from Hong Kong/Korea were visiting for a month. I really wanted to see them and meet their new baby so I decided to drive north during their last week here (that way my baby was a little bit bigger). Since they were down here for the Baptism/Blessing I decided to caravan back up with them. Scott had to stay for work and I didn't want to drive with 4 kids (one nursing) alone. We left August 1st. We soon found out that Scott had to go to Japan for 5 days (aug 5-9) so I decided to stay up with my parents for that week he was gone. (Thank you Erika for putting up with us for 2 weeks). Scott flew up Sat, Aug 13, we played that day then drove home Sunday. We had a blast! My parents are so awesome. They helped with the kids and my car and everything else.
Activities included - Stopped in Solvang on the way up the 101 and ate at Shelbi's Ranch, Tilden steam trains/carousel/little farm, Fairyland, spa, rode BART a few times, played with cousins, bowling, Shelbie had a sleep over with cousin, Shelbie spent day with cousin, twins got sick/Scotty went to Children's ER in middle of night, get together with high school friends, dinner with Colin/JiSoo from Hong Kong and his mom, family talent show, dinner with Gma Fergie/Aunt Nancy/Raina, put pennies on train tracks at Gma Fergie's, rope swing on Albany Hill, walk on Golden Gate Bridge, played with Hammy the hamster, fed the fish, walked up to fire hydrant, rode bikes up and down street, spent 5 days "in" 'cause twins were sick, church with mom/shelbie/sadie (my dad stayed home with twins).

Shelbie is 8
Scott had to go out of town for work on Shelbie's actual birthday so we celebrated the day before.

We went bowling for her "party" ... she is still asking for a party but we'll have to see...I've been holding off since the baby is due to come anytime and I can't promise to pull off a party until after she is born.

I'm even bigger now...that was a week ago. :-0

Curb Appeal
We are slowly but surely working on the curb appeal of our house. I can't wait for the room addition to be done (actually I can't wait for it to get started first...) so that we can get the bushes out and our fence in. We are also going to get a new front door (white) with no security screen!

Home Depot
Every 1st Saturday of the month, Home Depot has a free craft for the kids to make. We have been several times and the kids love it. This particular week they hammered and nailed together a flower pot holder. When we got home we got out the paints and painted them. They gave us a little seed packet to plant as well. They are just now starting to sprout and I'll take pictures of them soon...

Spring Break Road Trip Part 2
Read Part 1 below before you read through this one.
We headed home and stopped in Vegas. (I am bummed we didn't get out to the temple for a picture) We got to the MGM about 3pm. We were told that the pool and lazy river close at 5pm. We are just staying one night and checkout in the am is at 11am. We were then told that the pool doesn't open until 10 am.....just our luck. Oh well. We zoom to our room, change and zoom to the pool. We go around the lazy river about 4 times and head back to our room. We went to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner, head to the hotel that has the volcano show 9pm, it scares the kids, head back to hotel and get to bed about 1030pm. We got up early and went to Excaliber for their breakfast buffet (kids eat free) and hit the road. That was our quick stop over in Vegas. I hate Vegas. It's just not cool for me. Nothing there is fun and everything is overpriced. Next time we stop in Vegas it will just be at the temple and far away from the strip! We had an okay time though. The kids loved the pool and seeing the lions.

It was a bit chilly when the wind kicked up but for the most part it was pleasant swimming.

Spring Break Road Trip Part 1
We headed up to Utah to visit our other cousins that we hadn't seen in a long time as well. We took our time getting there (we usually plow through, but this time we stopped and ate at a restaurant and did a little bit of site seeing in St. George) and took extra time coming home.(See part 2)
We finally arrived in Cedar Hills...Scott's brother's house. We spent three days here hanging out and site seeing around town.
We found this awesome Harley Shop in Lindon.
We then found a great indoor pool/water park. The kids (and parents) loved it too.
We always have to visit the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. We would have visited the gardens and farm at the point as well but it was a bit cold and rainy during our trip.
We also went to the Provo Temple for a picture.
This is not the noni flower but a most beautiful one that I have never seen before and have no idea what it is...
