Home Depot

Every 1st Saturday of the month, Home Depot has a free craft for the kids to make. We have been several times and the kids love it. This particular week they hammered and nailed together a flower pot holder. When we got home we got out the paints and painted them. They gave us a little seed packet to plant as well. They are just now starting to sprout and I'll take pictures of them soon...

Spring Break Road Trip Part 2

Read Part 1 below before you read through this one.

We headed home and stopped in Vegas. (I am bummed we didn't get out to the temple for a picture) We got to the MGM about 3pm. We were told that the pool and lazy river close at 5pm. We are just staying one night and checkout in the am is at 11am. We were then told that the pool doesn't open until 10 am.....just our luck. Oh well. We zoom to our room, change and zoom to the pool. We go around the lazy river about 4 times and head back to our room. We went to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner, head to the hotel that has the volcano show 9pm, it scares the kids, head back to hotel and get to bed about 1030pm. We got up early and went to Excaliber for their breakfast buffet (kids eat free) and hit the road. That was our quick stop over in Vegas. I hate Vegas. It's just not cool for me. Nothing there is fun and everything is overpriced. Next time we stop in Vegas it will just be at the temple and far away from the strip! We had an okay time though. The kids loved the pool and seeing the lions.

It was a bit chilly when the wind kicked up but for the most part it was pleasant swimming.

Spring Break Road Trip Part 1

We headed up to Utah to visit our other cousins that we hadn't seen in a long time as well. We took our time getting there (we usually plow through, but this time we stopped and ate at a restaurant and did a little bit of site seeing in St. George) and took extra time coming home.(See part 2)
Bob's Big Boy for Breakfast in Baker (that's a fun alliteration)
Stopped for gas in St. G and got this fun shot. It was pretty bright and Scotty is into striking poses instead of standing nicely like Shelbie. :-)

We finally arrived in Cedar Hills...Scott's brother's house. We spent three days here hanging out and site seeing around town.
We found this awesome Harley Shop in Lindon.

We then found a great indoor pool/water park. The kids (and parents) loved it too.

We always have to visit the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. We would have visited the gardens and farm at the point as well but it was a bit cold and rainy during our trip.

We also made a stop at the Timpanogas Temple
Then we hit BYU....We went to see my old seminary teacher, Jared Ludlow. While there seeing him I happen to run into another seminary teacher, John Thompson. They both happen to be professors or Ancient Scripture there. We got a little souvenir at the BYU bookstore and then we stopped at the Creamery for lunch and ice cream. This shot is in front of the Y on the mountain. You'll have to look closely because a branch from that tree is covering up part of it.

We also went to the Provo Temple for a picture.
On our way out of town we stopped at Charlie's office. Noni Juice Headquarters...so beautiful inside and the gardens were beautiful. They have weddings and receptions there and they let kids come and play in the water where Sydnie is standing. :-)

This is not the noni flower but a most beautiful one that I have never seen before and have no idea what it is...

Cousin Visit

We had a fun visit with some cousins that we haven't seen in several years. Mary and Michael came down for a week of fun times in San Diego and Disneyland! We loved hanging out when they weren't off playing. :-)

I know...I was bad and didn't get a good group pics of the kids.

Fire Hydrant Fun

Apparently every couple of years the city will flush out the hydrants...the result is an awesome river in front of our house...perfect for duckie races.

Preschool

First day of preschool!

Variety Show

Shelbie was in our Stake's variety show this year. She was an orphan in the song It's a Hard Knock Life. She loved it and had a great time!! Unfortunately we only have 1 photo...the rest are videos. She was a very cute "orphan".
