Me, Jas and Berk in front of the condo

We just needed a quick little get away, and Brent and Connie had the condo this weekend, so we just packed up and took off last minute. We had a great time, except we had a fun little experience on the way there. Little Berk decided to have another one of her seizures. We had just stopped to get a drink and have a potty break in Fillmore and everything was just fine, we buckled everyone up and were just getting ready to leave when I noticed Berk was not herself. I thought she was choking, Jason jumped out to grab her and that's when we noticed she was having a seizure. Scared us to death. So we ended up at the Fillmore emergency room, everything checked out okay, and they think it is just related to the one she had 3 weeks earlier due to a fever. But I will tell ya, nothing scares you more than to see your kids like that, and to feel so helpless.
So, after our little detour, we finally made it there. The rest of the trip was so fun! Just lots of relaxing, eating, shopping and swimming! I'm so glad Brent and Connie have this place, we have so many fun memories down here!! And it's so nice to have somewhere to have a quick getaway! And I needed it after that!

Addie Jo turns 10

I'm so behind on my blogging lately, so I decided I better sit down and actually get caught up. On January 5th my Miss Addie Jo turned the big 10. I really cant believe I have a child in the double digits. Adds has always been an "Old Soul", but she really is growing up. She does so much for me, she is such a good little helper,(sometimes too good) I really could not do it with out her. I just had to put this picture from her B-day of her getting the Diet Coke, those that know Adds, knows of her love of the brown fizzy stuff, Brooke and Kurt hit it right on the nose with this one! In fact, it was kinda funny after dinner, we were on our way home and she says, "Mom and Dad, I just cant get over how well everyone knows me! They just know me! I LOVED everything I got!" When she opened the present my parents got her, she goes " Oh Grandma, you shouldn't have!!" It was classic! She really got spoiled this year, she even got a special one on one date with Grandma Connie. They went shopping and to dinner, right up her ally! I love this little gal, she keeps me laughing all the time! Hope she had a super Birthday! Love ya Adds!

I really feel like I was just doing this post from last year! Time has just been a complete blur for me this year!! We have had one heck of a year, we have had quite a few challenges, but have grown closer as a family and through it all, truly have been blessed by our family and good friends.
Christmas was so great this year, so much fun, and we were given so much! This is just some of the fun times we had. I love this time of year and really get kinda melancholy when it's all said and done. I love the time we have with family and friends, I love Christmas cards,I love to shop, I love to party, I love white elephants, I love the music, I love to give to my neighbors, I love to bake, but most of all I love the time we have to truly reflect on our savior. Every year it helps me to come closer to him. And I really think that's why I hate to see it all end. I love the feelings more than anything!
This year I really hope to do better on a lot of things. I want to be a better mom, be better at paying my tithing, budget better and get out of debt. Become closer to my Heavenly Father, be better about family home evening, and really try to not beat my husband so badly!! :)( Nah, that one is kinda fun, and most the time he deserves it!)
Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
