dinner: served (by children)

This probably isn't the first time I've mentioned the infatuation my children have with the kitchen and cooking.

Bret thinks he's Emeril and changes recipes without consulting anyone, adds food coloring to things that REALLY shouldn't be colored, etc.
I allow them a measure (tee hee hee) of freedom because I figure it's a good way for them to learn.

Sometimes this requires caffeinated liquid to get over, and other times, it results in this:

Dinner on the Deck!
by yours truly - Bret, Tate & Whitney

Chicken & Rice Casserole
Tossed Salad
Sliced Canteloupe
Bread w/ butter

I seriously didn't lift a finger.
I have some thoughtful, independant, determined & awesome spirits for children.

4th of July: Before(s) & After(s)

What would the day before the Fourth of July be
without a little fun in the mud?
Here is some of the before and after fun

Episode #1

Episode #2

Clearly, Abby remained exceptionally unaffected by the events transpiring.

I didn't take my camera to the ward breakfast, or the fireworks, but since you have an imagination, it all works out.
Happy July.

stalling...

I should be working on my lesson for the Institute Class Doug and I are teaching tonight, but alas, I got distracted.
No, that's not my kitchen (don't I wish...)
These are a few of the pictures I took this week of two of Doug's recently-completed houses.
Aren't they beautiful?
You can click this link to see the rest. Kim has THE coolest upstairs EVER!

If you're looking to build a house (who isn't in this THRIVING economy..!??!?) in the Tri-cities, now you know who to call.

Oh, yeah...and wish us luck with this Institute thing. Nothing screams intimidating like a room full of YSA's, their bishopric and the local CES representative.
I'm taking dippin' dots for part of an object lesson, so here's hoping they'll all be too distracted to hear anything I say.
