and the winner is....

Twin Falls, Idaho.

What?
You didn't hear about the
"Battle of the Falls?"
well, don't worry....
because we only made it up about 3 weeks ago when we started
contemplating moving to one of the two Idaho cities claiming they had "falls."
It was an intense battle between Idaho Falls and Twin Falls. Hence, the name.
(I know, it took me forever to come up with that.)

What?
You didn't hear about how we were
thinking of moving?
well, don't worry...
because we only came up with that about three weeks ago when
it became apparant that we might have sold our house.

What?
You didn't hear that we were looking to
sell our house?
well, don't worry...
because we didn't know that either, until about three weeks ago when
we began considering a new job for one D.J. Burch, and he had two possibilities in the
aforementioned cities.

What?
Yeah...this could go on forever...and it's almost two in the morning,
so I'll make this quick, but I promised several of you that I would keep you posted :-)
so here I am, making good on my promise.

We're moving to Twin Falls, Idaho
within the next 2-3 weeks when we finish packing our 3100 sq. foot house into a 26-foot trailer.

While experiencing a bit of denial when it comes to leaving our
friends and family here in Arizona, we're superbly excited about this new adventure, and can't wait to find out what lies ahead in Idaho.

It all became very much more of a reality this week (along with the final job offers, and a surprise decision) when Doug was released from the bishopric on Sunday. It didn't seem real to me until then. Even with the increasing echoes sounding in various rooms in the house, that now seems incredibly final, thus I felt I should herald the news.

Doug and I are venturing North this week to find a house.
It is then that I will assess to what level of thickness my new winter coat will need to be.

..the words

There are no words.
Except THESE
That can sum up Stephanie's (thus far) story any better.
I {heart} the Clarks and Nielsons forever.
and yes...as Jenny suggested: Grab a tissue (or ten).

News Flash!

Well, my sister, Erin {and good gravy (as cjane would say), check out her hilarious boy HERE} decided she was heading to Redlands, so I figured if I wanted to see her before next summer, I should come too.
Then, as it turns out, my mom is actually going to be dwelling in her residence there at the same time, and the stars are all aligned with the sun and the moon, etc..., so I'm bringing my gaggle over too.

Since I'm coming, I'm bringing my camera and may already have a couple of sessions set up for pictures.
If you're interested, give me a call or email me. I'd be happy to catch up with some of mybuddies AND take your pictures all at the same time.

Alas, you have the most recent results of some serious photo editing.

me + the 9 kids = photo op

How could I not take a picture of the
little (?!?) gaggle

I had here this morning?

While various friends were cleaning houses of other various friends who are moving :(

I did my part by tending the
9 children under 4 years of age.
It was great fun, as expected.

like I said...

I predicted last year, when I did THIS Powder Puff Post that Seniors would dominate this year.
Uh....hem. They did.

to all my (let me live vicariously) senior peeps:
Kaylee, Nichole, Robin, Jessica, Kyla...you guys rock.
I've been in a video mood lately, so here's this year's recap:

Viva Freecycle! (and child labor)

In an ongoing de-cluttering and landscaping super-effort here at the homestead, I have the following report:
I ♥ Freecycle
Last night, Doug and I were "cleaning closet" and emerged with the above-pictured FIVE bags of clothing eager for some wear-time in a new home.
I posted its contents on Freecycle, went back to the closet for twoandahalf minutes to transport them to the living room.
Upon returning to my computer after said minutes. They were ALL spoken for, and will each be picked up and gone from my life this morning before 10:00 AM.
Viva Freecycle!
AND...It was a mutual-night-free Wednesday for Douglas, so you KNOW he was at Home Depot at the stroke of 5:00 buying up his favorite: Photinia
Upon his arrival, it was a jolly shoveling time had by all.

Twelve hands are better than two, yes?

If you're bored...you must see these handsomes and their dear parents.

And...here are the remaining images from Sunday's
Drive/Shoot/Ankle Spraining.
The things I do for a good picture...

Amo a mis hijas

After a peaceful Conference Sunday, yesterday evening we headed out for a Sunday Drive and of course, some pictures.

I got some cute ones of the Carpenters, and we also attempted a family picture of our own.
I loved these ones of my lil' chicas.

a lil' experiment

Dearest 4th and 1st grade educators S.B and N.H who have entrusted me with the care of their offspring:

This is your babies:
This is your babies on Baby DaVinci:

This is your babies
just after they look at me like I'm kind of a weirdo,
but then I say,
"Who wants more Red Vines?"
(j/k)

Thursday greetings from our lil' corner of babyland.
