Shootin' season...

While Doug is still in denial that he hasn't been able to shoot anything whilst hunting with the other manly men, I've been having ample shooting time.

And YIKES!! it's been a while since I posted. I guess the "work full-time, have 5 (active) kids, keep photography running, get a new calling, keep your house clean" schedule has me somewhat behind on blogging.

As you all know (or maybe some of you don't) Halloween is my favorite holiday. (NOT!) But I'm keeping it real today and attempting to remain festive for the sake of my children. At least this year they all (except one) had costumes prepared more than 1 day in advance.

I'll post tomorrow with a picture of their creations, but for now - - here's what's been occupying a majority of my time...

Twin Falls 18th Ward YM/YW Film Festival from Kerrianne Burch on Vimeo.

This video is admittedly long, so you might just want to glance and/or skip, and/or get out a big load of laundry to fold. It was pretty funny making and producing this one. My new calling in YW is destined to produce more "wet my pants" from laughter moments, I am certain.

It's Family/Senior pics season and I've been enjoying lots of both...

And now, to coordinate some outfits for our own family picture which I will attempt to capture this very (lovely) afternoon.

Over and out.

4-day weekend yields salsa. Lots of it. and snow?

Doug and the boys went camping on Friday night and came back with a report that they had snow.
Well, I had a hard time believing it.....until this morning when we woke up to this:
How perfect that we got to stay home all cuddly cozy in our pjs watching conference as it snowed for most of the day.

The kids begged and begged to go play, but alas - we're mean. They did get to try and catch a few flakes from the front porch.

Funny that just Friday and yesterday we were dealing with this LOT of (SUMMER) tomatoes filling up our kitchen sink...

turning them (along with other garden bounties) into Doug's secret recipe (as in - no recipe) pico de gallo.

He tried to burn our taste buds off with his first attempt. After adding multiple cups of tomatoes, the kids were willing to try it again. Then he and Bret had a jalapeno eating contest. I now need another two gallons of milk.

Happy GLORIOUS (4-days!!) Conference weekend.
It was wonderful.
Now off we go to un-earth those boots, bibs, hats, gloves...
Grrrr...winter, grrrrr.
