Christmas Stories...

Ok, plenty of pictures to come...but I HAVE to share! About a week and a half before Christmas Mandy was SO excited about my present from Daddy, her and bubba that she opened it and brought it to me! Ofcourse, once I saw the flower shaped diamond earrings I understood why! Woo Hoo go Daddy! Kyle pouted until Kyler decided he could open his to make it all better...HA! Was Kyler right, all was well once he got his new 12 gage! Keeping in mind, we haven't gotten Christmas presents for each other since I got pregnant with Kyler it is amazing we made it that far!

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

I have been so excited about the reopening of this museum, with the new kids area I just knew it was going to be great...and it was! We didn't get to see everything but had fun with what we did see. I went ahead and got a membership so we can go whenever we want even if we have no money (which seems to be the norm these days...ha!). Uncle Todd, Paw Paw, the kids and I went and had a great time exploring.

Kyler's Class field trip...

North Pole Express

Today was Kyler's first field trip and as most of you know I was thrilled that I was able to get off and go with them to ride the North Pole Express in our jammies! I know that I won't be able to do this often but love that I can do the first atleast. A crew of mom's climbed in Aunt Kelly's suburban and carpooled up behind the bus, rode the train with the kids and checked the kids out early for a happy meal and play time. What a great day, I couldn't have asked for more! Kyler's school has amazing teachers and staff and he absolutely loves it.

Mandy's Christmas Program

MAN! This is a busy time of year...one program after another. We are all enjoying it though, can't complain too much. If only I knew how to REALLY use my camera! I will learn it just won't happen until summer when I cna make time to devote to it. Mandy was the star of the show at her program...what a ham!! She was not shy with the video camera nor the crowd. Singing, doing all the motions and just talking away! Unlike her brother, she LOVES having all eyes on her. She did a fantastic job and was cute as pie doing it! Go girl...we are proud and love you princess. Thanks to Grammy, Papa, Gran, Paw Paw, Grandma Sarah, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Shawn, Alex, Gage and Leighton for coming to support our girl! DQ will never be the same ;)

The Birthday of a King

This is the title of our church's Christmas Program this year...Kyler chose to be a cheetah and Grandma Cindy made his costume for us. God Bless her! The kids did a great job of singing the songs and learning their parts. Nicole and some of the other older kiddos did wonderfully with their solos. Kyler wasn't feeling tip top but insisted he was fine so off we went...by the time we got home he had little color and was NOT feeling well at all. After very little lunch and a long nap with Daddy he seemed to be improving and has been okay for school except for a headache here and there. Mandy loved watching the big girls sing but just couldn't keep her eyes open and fell asleep before the last song (ironically the same time the battery in my video camera died). There was a reception with cake and play (with a surprise from Santa) afterwards. I am so thankful to be part of such a wonderful church!

Basketball season...

Yep, you read right...just when you think you can catch a break and there are no sports because it's COLD, up starts basketball! Kyler has been in and out of talk with the whole basketball thing and we didn't push it but after talking to some of his friends we caught the last sign ups. These are pictures from his first game and it was HILARIOUS!! Kyler is number 8 and he is on the team with cousin Ausin, friends Jackson and Steven. They are having SO much fun.

Aunt Tina Graduates

At the last minute I got an invitation to attend Aunt Tina's graduation from Texas Wesleyan. Ofcourse I jumped on the opportunity and made a dozen calls for baby sitters...Aunt Kelly to the rescue AGAIN!. Great job Tina!

Kyler's Kindergarten Christmas Program

Aunt Kelly and the other kindergarten room mom's put on a fantastic show with the Kindergarteners singing Christmas songs tonight. The kids really seemed to like putting on a show too!

Ooops forgot...Santa's chair

The kids took pictures in Santa's chair after Mandy's performance, but...no santa...instead, Grammy and Poppy!

Sleepover with Livy

After dancing, Livy came home with us for a sleepover and they had such a BLAST! These two are soo good together. I just love seeing my kids making friendships and really having a good time with friends. About 10:30 Sunday morning Kyler asked if the boys could come over, I guess he had had enough time with the girls but it was his turn...she does it for him a lot!

Mandy's Christmas Dance '09

Saturday evening Mandy and her class danced at the annual parade. They did SOOO great! Especially since they only had 3 or 4 classes to learn this new dance. I was a proud mama and she had so much fun. From getting on stage to singing, clapping, tapping and spinning she was beautiful...and have you ever seen prettier angel kisses? Check out the crew that showed up to support, thanks everyone!

Slacker!!!

Yes, I have been a blog slacker...now I am playing catch up!

November 13th...

The kids went to Livy's birthday, Livy is one of Mandy's very best friends! She turned 4 and had her party at Going Apes bounce houses. The kids had sooo much fun and she had a great turn out. We love you Livy!

November 20th...

We had a slumber party of 6!!! Yes, 6...have I lost my mind maybe but it was a blast! Nicole (the oldest) was the first asleep, Mandy and Abby (the youngest) were the last. The boys went pretty fast once they wre still and settled. We had Nicole, Mandy, Abby, Kyler, Austin and Gage. Daddy brought us all donuts for breakfast and they were soooo yummy! Alex joined us the next morning and just loved getting to play with Spike (our beardie)!

November 23?...

Monday of Thanksgiving Break we were surrendering to illness and heading out to our pediatrician. What an amazing doctor and nurses do we have? They are soo good. Mandy was so good and Kyler was the brave big brother...This picture is one I captured when I got out of my shower and checked on them. What a precious moment, Mandy laid her blanket over Kyler and was rubbing his belly while he rubbed her head (sort of playing with her hair). It was so heart warming.

Thanksgiving Day...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. Great meal at Aunt Kelly's and great company too. We got to spend some great time with Gran, Papa, Grandma, Nana Geri, Papaw mike, Mimi, Aunt Teri, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Shawn, Austin, Alex and Gage. Unfortunately I don't have many pictures since quite honestly I was just enjoying the day. After eating and cleaning up, the girls headed up to Garden Ridge for discounts on Christmas decorations and just good quality girl time, it was fantastic! Then at midnight Aunt Kelly, Mrs. Kirsten, Mrs. Christy and I headed out to ToysRUs with Gran to do some "shopping" for the grandkids...if you can call that kind of chaos shopping! I had never done it before and don't plan on doing it again but it was a fun experience :) Mrs. Christy said since she joined us for Toys R Us we had to join her for some Kohl's at 4 am so we just ate inbetween...yes, LONG night/morning!

November...Oh, I have lost track...last night!

We went out for Mrs. Christy's birthday, all girls, dinner and New Moon! Woo Hoo what fun! We sincerely had a blast. We even got Aunt Kelly to admit "that vampire stuff" wasn't bad at all...in fact, it was good! All in all I have had a fabulous break, I have really gotten some wonderful time with friends and family, and I am not really looking forward to going back to reality! 3 weeks until christmas break...
