Wedding Day

Our wedding day was the best day of our lives! We got married at the Salt Lake City temple at 12:40. It was an incredible ceremony and absolutely beautiful! Our family and friends were kind enough to wait for us to come out of the temple in the cold. It has snowed the day before so the snow was beautiful and the sky was blue (Although it was still VERY cold). We took pictures outside the temple with our families and then just with ourselves. It was so fun! After Brett and I went to Cutler's and got some lunch together in our dress and tux. It was awesome! Later that night we had the most beautiful reception we had ever seen at the Oakridge Country Club in Farmington. It was the most amazing day of our lives and definitely the most fun!!!!

Discounts and Wedding Plans

Wow! What a whirlwind it is to plan a wedding...who knew!?!? Okay I think everyone else did but me. Everything for the wedding is coming along great. We have gotten some sweet deals and I can't wait for the big day on the 27th! Last night Brett and I went to Bed Bath & Beyond and registered for....a whopping 3 hours! It was insane but so much fun to pick out things for our new place. I felt really grown up and like an all-new woman picking out colors and items for "a place of our own". It's crazy! The other day I went with my mom to a store called Market Square. I found 4 beautiful wood, ladder back, unfinished dining chairs. The tag said $119.00 and after taking it to the registered, we were happily surprised to see that it was 50% off and then an additional 20% for Monday morning customers. The total came to $36.81. Anyone know of a cool color to paint them???? Let me know!

Engaged Life!

As many of you know Brett and I are engaged. As an engaged couple, with Brett and I both busy with school, we thought we would take a little adventure this weekend in Provo. We went to a Galactic laser and miniature golf center. It was pretty crowded with the high school students in the laser area so we decided to go mini golfing. It was the black light golfing and it was so fun! We took so pretty funny pictures with a giant gorilla and then went and got Brett groceries after. I'm so excited to move to Provo and be able to see him every day! We're trying to find housing down in Provo near campus so Brett doesn't have to walk too far to school. The on-campus housing we want you can only apply for 10 days before your wedding...yes, only in Provo...so wish us luck! Next week we're getting our engagement pictures and we're pretty excited for that. My sister has 3 things that she's thankful for in her blog and I thought it was a great reminder so I hope she doesn't mind that I copy.

New to Blogging....

Hello everyone! I am new to the blogging world and with my computer illiteracy problem it could take me a while to get used to but I'm trying! Well, I'm Whitney Rose Dustin and I'm engaged to the amazing Brett Lee Mellor! We are getting married December 27 and we couldn't be more excited. I don't know how addicting this blogging business is but I'm excited to see! Mostly I want my lovely, beautiful sister Holly to have fun seeing mine because she is not the casual visitor to my fav. website, Facebook. This is for you Hol! :)
