Flaming Gorge

A couple of weeks ago my family went to Flaming Gorge! It was great, and quite an adventure! Sadly, I took ZERO pictures. So, thanks to Andrea Dustin, my sister-in-law, I just stole this off her blog. I just loved it and I wanted it to be part of our blog as well. Thanks Andrea! But the trip was great. We stayed at an interesting little cabin area right outside Flaming Gorge. It had great "home cookin'", and our rental boat was a little more interesting than that...yeah, you know what I mean. But hey it was a boat and got us around the lake and even had enough power to get us out of the water, so yea!! It was a fun get-away and fun Brett loved that he got to wakeboard at least once this summer.

Espana!

Well, I am finally posting!! I am sorry it has taken so long it's been really busy! But I'm excited to post about our fantastic trip! We went to Spain from August 5th to the 19th to visit Brett's parents who are serving as Mission Presidents there. It was truly wonderful and I got to meet my father-in-law Bob which was great. Katie, Brett's sister, was also there with us which made the trip even better! We landed in Malaga, Spain which is the southern most mission of Spain. It is on the Mediterranean and on a clear day you can see the hills of Africa on the other side of the sea. Claire arranged an amazing trip where we got to visit the cities of the mission. We went to Cadiz, Sevilla, Granada, and Cordoba. They are all big cities of the mission besides Malaga. It was fun to see how different all the cities are. The weather there is usually extremely hot but we were blessed to visit the cities on days where the weather had actually "cooled down" to 100. We visited places that I used to read about in my Art History class. Back at the mission home we swam in the pool at least once a day, put together puzzles, ate, ate and ate, and were able to be with the Mellor's which was the best part. It was so great cause we just don't get to see them enough. It was truly the trip of a lifetime and so fun to go with such amazing people!! We miss them so much and miss all the amazing places we visited. Enjoy the pics!
