Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago, my cute friend Emily took some darling photos of Lincoln for me.
Thanks Em!
Here are just a few of my favorites-

Isn't the teddy bear adorable?? It was Brett's when he was a little boy. :)
Melts my heart....

Her website is emilymangumphotography.blogspot.com. If you need photos taken, I highly recommend her. Thanks again!

Right Now....

Is My Favorite Time of Day.
I get to sit on the couch, feed Lincoln, and hold him in my arms while he falls asleep for his afternoon nap.

Being a mom is the bomb and I don't want to be anywhere else.

You Got Jimmered

Last night my dad, mom, Trevor, Brett, Lincoln and I went to the BYU basketball game vs. Colorado. It was such a fantastic time! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Macaroni Grill before-always so yummy!! Brett and I got us some free tickets for the game and as you can tell they were such great seats!! ;) J/K they were almost the top row but surprisingly we were able to see really well. Jimmer scored 34 points and we won the game. It's so fun to cheer for such a great team that's doing so well this year.

I love watching the fans. The signs they hold up absolutely crack me up. My favorite said:
Jimmer's worst night=your best night.
Lincoln slept through the entire game but we hope subliminally he heard the cheer of the cougars. :)
Lincoln and I in our matching shirts that Brett got us for Christmas.

1. 3 nights in a row Lincoln has slept through the night!! I hope it lasts!!
2. Fun night with my family.
3. Being so rested!

Farewell to Katie

This last weekend we headed up to Kaysville/Farmington to see our families and it's always so fun to see them. The occasion this weekend was a goodbye dinner for Katie who recently accepted a position at an advertising firm in Chicago. We are so excited for her! She is extremely talented and this is such an incredible opportunity for her. We already miss her so much!!

We stopped by my parents home before the party to visit my family as well and watch the BYU basketball game...let's just say that the University of Utah basketball team got jimmered. :)

STOP!!!!!

It's true...tear....Lincoln is already 1 month old. I can't believe it!! I just need time to stop!! This last month has been so amazing and I have had the time of my life being a mom. Lincoln is so fun. I am absolutely, totally and officially obsessed with this little man. He and Brett are the loves of my life and the spring in my step. Some of the fun things Lincoln does right now:

He loves his hands and arms. He does the funniest things with them and they are never lazily by his side. He grunts all the time whether he is asleep or awake and it is so adorable. I thought he was grunting because he was getting sick so on Monday I took him to the doctor. The doctor did lots of tests and the diagnosis: He grunts. It cracks me and Brett up, especially at night when we are trying to fall asleep. It's loud, but so adorable.
He is on a great schedule and is a fantastic little sleeper. Right now he is only waking up one time in the night for feeding and the rest of the day he is a gem (except when he gets gas or has to burp ha ha). I love his smile! It is rare to see but his dimples are so cute! I'm excited for when he will start smiling on purpose. :)
At the doctor he was weighed again and he currently weighs 8 pounds and 13 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. I can't take it! He is 8 pounds and 13 ounces of absolutely goodness and cuteness. I have so much fun hanging out with him all day long. He is such a fun buddy to pal around with.
He grew out of his first outfit this last week-his frog man onesie. I cried. Yes, I really cried. I can't believe how much fun having a baby is. It is the most rewarding job I have ever had and I couldn't be more grateful for it. Brett and I can't believe how blessed we are. I love to watch Brett with Lincoln. Brett absolutely adores him too!!!
And honestly, who could blame us? :)

1. Beautiful weather today!
2. Lincoln's little grunts that I can hear right now from the other room.
3. Had lunch today with Brett at school :)

Valentines Day 2011

This year Valentines Day was extra special...I had 2 valentines!!! We celebrated by eating at one of our favorite places, Wingers (SO yummmmy!!!), and made each other homemade notes. Brett is so cute and creative with his notes for me. They usually consist of crosswords, word finds and our current inside jokes.

SO thankful for the 2 lovers in my life, Brett and Lincoln!!
I love you both so much!!

2. Lincoln's smile

Tubby Time

This morning was tubby time and it is a bitter sweet situation. Once the clothes and diaper are off the crying begins but once the warm washcloth is on his chest the happiness returns. In case you can't tell, we are obsessed with him.

2. My sister is moving to Utah!!!
3. Found my ipod headphones today....I have been looking for them for months!

Randoms

This last week has been a slight blur....
First off I have to say that being a mom is the most wonderful, most overwhelming, time-consuming most fabulous job in the universe!!! I love that I am the mom to this beautiful little boy. He is so good!! He goes to bed around 10pm and usually wakes up around 10 with 3 feedings in between. He is so sweet when he wakes up to eat. He sweetly, and kind of quietly, sucks on his fingers to let me know that he is hungry and then is happily fed.

He is a man of many facial expressions. My favorite is above when he is trying to burp. He usually has his eyes closed and his arms flailing out in the air and it makes me and Brett laugh so hard!!

He also loves to have his hands up by his face and head (usually his right arm) and it's so cute!! In case you can't tell, we're obsessed with this little man. He is so fun and so good. I can't get enough of him!!!

On another note...Josh left on his mission yesterday. I am so happy that the people of McAllen, Texas get to enjoy this stud, but I already miss him so much!! He is so amazing and he is going to be such a fantastic missionary. Yesterday we went to lunch at Chili's with him and my family before he headed out. It was so fun to get to see him one last time and enjoy a fabulous lunch with my family.
He is so awesome. He came over a couple of times this last month to help me with Lincoln and play with us before he left. Both nights he came down were so fun and I truly love and appreciate him. Lincoln already misses him holding him, I miss not talking to him all the time on the phone, and Brett will miss playing games with him and talking about BYU basketball ha ha.
1. Lincoln's long fingers
2. Josh's willingness to serve a mission! So happy he is ready and willing to serve for 2 years.
3. When Brett and I listen to Lincoln's little noises, he is so cute!!
