November Highlights

November was a hectic but wonderful month!  So fun to adventure around with these fellas!  We had:
Dental Appointments...
 Long, cozy naps...
Brett went to the Nuggets game with Chris...with not the worst of seats ha ha...
Griffin had his first dental appointment...
We enjoyed FHE and the last few weeks at our old home...
Enjoyed watching the boys do Lincon's homework together...Griffin loves to help!
 Went to the childrens museum...
Took the boys for Saturday morning donuts on the first snow of the season...

Took Lincoln to school a bunch of times and listened to Griffin ask to be able to go too...
Loved watching this boy grow up and get even smarter by the day....
I got to be with this hottie of a hubby everyday...
And watched Griffin bond with the baby while the baby kicked and Griffey felt it with his head...he cracks me up...
Besides the horrible stomach aches that this pregnancy has brought, November was a great month and I'm cherishing all the precious moments with these boys before it gets crazy.  It's so nice to enjoy some time of no bottles, binkies, or diapers before baby comes along.  Gotta love it!!

Thanksgiving!

This year for Thanksgiving Katie and Steven flew into Colorado and we had the best time.  We made a reservation at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.  This hotel is where the movie "The Shining" was inspired.  We drove up there, had dinner at a burger dive, and then Katie and Steven and Brett went on a ghost tour of the hotel.  They said it was pretty funny.  We stayed the night and it was a great time.
The next day we drove up to the mountains and found the perfect tree!  We had gotten a permit for tree cutting earlier in the week for only $10.  It is such a fun thing to do and definitely a new tradition for our family.  The scenery was amazing!!

We tied the tree to the top of the car and away we went.  The way home was very memorable.  We stopped to get some hot chocolate at Starbucks where the boys both denied needing to go to the bathroom.  Ten minutes later, almost to the highway, Lincoln yells out that he needs to go to the bathroom right now!  Griffin chimes in that he has to go as well!  We pulled off the road, grabbed both boys and had them relieve themselves.  Lesson learned-just take them at every restaurant or stop we take.
When we got home we decorated the tree and it was so fun to have the boys so involved and excited about the tree.  They were so cute and loved it all.  Christmas is so magical as a parent!
Thanksgiving dinner!  It wasn't super fancy but it was fun!
We stopped by Home Depot for some tree cutting supplies and saw Santa!  Lincoln was very excited!

We moved!!

As of November 16 we are officially home owners!  It was a crazy week but we are so grateful to have somewhere to call home.  We don't know how long we will be here, but we are so thankful for the feeling we have here and for the friends and ward family we have.  Everything has fallen into place and we feel confident that this is where Heavenly Father wants us and wants Brett for this time in our lives.  When we went to law school I never pictured Brett getting his first job in Colorado but everything has been a slow process of praying and having things slowly fall into place.  It is so fun to adventure to new places and meet new people.  I love the people here and my friends.  I love Lincoln's school and all the help he is getting there and I love having this beautiful home to live in.  I am so excited to bring home our baby boy here and have everything be so comfortable and ready for him and the transition to three boys.  The only downside is missing our families in Utah.  Having this baby makes me wish more and more that we lived by family but I guess that's not the plan for now.  I'm so glad we have such wonderful families that support and love us though.  Grateful that we can drive home in a day and be with family!!  But we are  "So grateful to be in 10349" as Lincoln says!
 Griffin loves it too :)
