Mirror Lake

Back in August we went camping and fishing at Mirror Lake. It was gorgeous and we had a great time! My cousin Danny came along too, which made it even more fun. The kids adore him!

Bailey fell down and cut her upper lip on a rock, so when we put on the butterfly bandaid she immediately said, "Look mom, I have a moustache!"

Harris Cousin Trip

In July we spent a few days at a cabin with all the Harris cousins. We all had a great time visiting the deer farm, exploring lava caves, fishing and just being together. All the pictures were uploaded onto Byron's laptop so I need to figure out how to transfer them so I can post more.

Beach 2011

Seems like the same pics, different year plus an added year of height on the kids, but our annual beach trip never gets old!!

These last three photos are courtesy of my cousin Katie, hence the more professional look. :)One of our neighbors was a yoga instructor and invited us to do some beach yoga. It was awesome!

Rocky Mountain High

I just made a list of things I need to do and want to do today before the kids get home from school. Blogging was not on either list, yet here I am trying to catch up on our summer happenings. Well, way back in June Byron was presenting at a conference in Denver, so we all tagged along and had a great time! It was my first time to Colorado and it was such a beautiful place!

Even the drive was beautiful! Once we crossed into Colorado the highway followed the Colorado River most of the way up to Denver. The river was SO full it looked like it was about to pour onto the road! We also drove through Vail, which was gorgeous!

We saw some mountain goats on the side of the road. So neat!

Liks Ice Cream=favorite part of the trip!

We found this little ice cream shop around the corner from where we stayed and ended up going back every day we were there! So yummy!!Walked through City ParkThe Wizard's Chest, a huge toy store with fun for big kids and little kids alike! Got some Rock Pile (cheap seats) tickets to the Rockies Game

We parked at the bottom of a big hill and a guy offered to take us all up on the back of his bike for 5 bucks. Definitely money well spent!!

Saw some real pirate artifacts at the Denver Museum of Science

ARRRR!

While Byron was at his conference I took the kids to a neat bookstore, The Tattered Cover.
Love my little BayBay

Had to try Pink Berry.......mmmmmm

Beautiful Red Rocks and Dinosaur Ridge

Red Rocks Amphitheater, built right into the side of the mountain

I'd love to see a concert here!
It's always fun to explore new places!

Now hopefully I can get caught up on the rest of our summer too!
