Kiddo Apron

Cute Kiddo Apron
Crafts/Cooking

I wanted to make something awesome for my niece and nephews this Christmas. I decided after Pinterest searching that I could totally make aprons in kids sizes. But after not being able to find a full how to that I liked, I used a simple pattern for the base that I tweaked for the size of the kiddos. This is my finished project and I have to say I am proud of it :)

Emma's Crib Mobile ... in progress...

Wishes, Dreams & Angle Kisses

I love the pom pom balls which will be hanging over her crib from two rings.
The bottle is filled with the ends of the petals and I thought that it would be cute and bring more of the colors into her room.

Athens Ward Halloween Party

Ward Halloween Party

There was a very nice dinner and lots of fun activities for the kiddos. We also got the chance to have an awesome and cute photo in the photo booth that they had set up. Best of all this activity was a Young Women final project.

Drew's Halloween Costume

Halloween In Athens 2013

Halloween in Athens is a huge deal and everyone dresses up and goes to the main area of down town to get drunk and party. Drew decided to join in the fun (minus the getting drunk) and see what all the talk was about. But after not being able to find parking he decided to spend a night at home with his girls!

"LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!"

New Calling!

Calling: Primary 5 & 6

I am glad to say that I have finally gotten a calling in our new ward here in Athens! I am co teaching the Primary 5 & 6 ... which is not the easiest class but I know that it is what I need right now. I am worried about being able to handle this class but I know that the Lord will bless me with the talent and help that I need.
I taught the first lesson today and it didn't go to bad. We set up class rules and had a wonderful lesson about good and bad thoughts. We also talked about how we can be better and help others to be good too.
I think the best part was how well the kids used the Talking Bag!

Cutie Burp Clothes

Cutie Burp Clothes

First of I have to share that my wonderful hubby and Emma's Daddy to be came into the room and asked me what I was doing. I said that I was making cute burp clothes. He asked what is a burp cloth does it make them burp? No it is to catch what comes out with they burp. Oh ... So its a Fancy Spit Rag!
Well here is to my Cutie Spit Rags then!!

I wanted to make these so that they would match the other items I have been making and the patterns and colors that I am using in all Emma's Stuff.

Here is how I did it and what you will need.

Need:
- Ruler or rotary mat to measure with.
- Something to cut with.
- Fabrics of your choice(I used 5 fabrics).
-  Gerber 5 pack of cloth diapers (I used two packs).
- Iron.
- Thread and Sewing Machine.

I started by ironing out the diapers so that they would be easier to sew on .... & yes I am watching Bones on  my computer!
I then cut out the center strips of fabric. For my diapers I measured that I needed a 5'' by 20'' piece (but make sure you measure your diapers). Then I ironed the strips out as well.
Then to make it easier on me and the sewing machine I ironed down a half inch seam on each side and the tops I ironed, folded and ironed again.
I then sewed around the whole strip with a 1/8 '' seam to help me keep the edges in place when applying them to the diapers.
Pin the strips to the center of the diaper so that it will fold into thirds still.

I then made a 1/4'' seam around the whole Strip. I noticed that the fabric on the edges was too lose so I added another 1/8'' seam and to be honest I love the effect that it gave and I know that the Strip is not going to move or shift in the laundry.

& the beautiful finished projects!!!
