From the fear of being humiliated, deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being despised, deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of suffering rebukes, deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being calumniated, deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being forgotten, deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being ridiculed, deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being wronged, deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being suspected, deliver me, O Jesus.

That others may be loved more than I - Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be esteemed more than I - Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That in the opinion of the world, others may increase and I may decrease - Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be praised and I unnoticed - Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be preferred to me in everything - Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should - Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

Opportunities to pray
1. Sign up to pray for an hour prayer in our 48 hours of prayer this Friday & Saturday.

* moving into our new schedule on September 18

a) clarification of CAC direction
b) shape of our new building
c) staffing – Kyle candidating
d) people

2. Sign up to be a part of a CAC prayer team for Praying For You. We are 1 of 8 Canby-area churches doing this. 10,000 cards were mailed out earlier this week. As prayer needs come back to us we need a team of people to pray for them.

September 48 hour of Prayer:
When? Friday & Saturday September 16 & 17
Sign up: We need 48 people to sign up to pray for 1 hour in our prayer room - sign up on the clipboard on the bulletin board.
Purpose? To bathe our church in prayer as we begin our new fall schedule and seek God's direction regarding our future as a church (direction of ministry, new building, youth pastor search, & the rebuilding God wants to do in each of our lives).


Special Corporate Prayer Session:
Saturday, September 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, a time to come together for prayer!


Praying for You
Date: September 11 - Ocotber 9
What is it? 8 Canby area churches are joining together to pray for the needs of our community (First Baptist, Canby Christian, Canby Alliance, Bethany Free, Canby Evangelical, Calvary Baptist, Assembly of God, & Calvary Mennonite).
How Will it work? 10,000 mailers will be sent to homes in the greater Canby Area on September 6 asking people to share how the churches can pray for them. Prayer needs can be emailed or sent on a postcard provided with the mailing. Each of the 8 participating churches will receive copies of all prayer requests.
Banner: Each of the participating churches will fly a "Praying for You" banner in front of their churches.
How you can be involved: If you would like to be a part of the CAC prayer team that will pray for each request that comes in, sign ups are on the bulletin board, or you can email the church office this week. Prayer requests will be sent to you as we receive them.
Community Prayer Time: Sunday October 2, 6 pm --a time for all the participating churchs to come together and pray for our community.
