Prom Dinner!

We hosted a Prom dinner for our babysitter and her group date. It was a blast! Below is my Prom approved and decorated preschool room - all preschool paraphernalia (thank you spell check!) conveniently stashed in the closet under the stairs! - done by the talented Jamie (to the right of me in the middle, who actually made the flowers on the table out of tissue paper!) and the amazing Cindy (to the left, also mother of the babysitter!)

Now you see the bustling kitchen where I (in charge of food of course cause what else are you going to do with a last name like mine! :) am cooking up a storm and my waiter recruits are waiting quite impatiently for the next course.

On the Menu!
Appetizer: Bruschetta
Main Course: Chicken Cordon Bleu with rolls and Sugar Carrots
Dessert: Chocolate Mousse in Chocolate cups
and YES those cups are edible and YES I did make them and YES they were SO FUN! Try it, you might like it! Melt chocolate. Paint the inside of a cupcake wrapper with a basting brush and the chocolate. Freeze until solid. Paint a second coat just on the sides (the chocolate kind of slides down in the freezing process so the bottom is nice and solid but the sides are brittle without the second coat.) Freeze about an hour. Remove and peel (carefully) off the cupcake wrapper. Fill and enjoy!!

LOVE THE SPRING!!! EXCEPT for the shedding!!! Do you think we could form another dog from this hair? You should see what happens when I try to mop the kitchen floor! EWWWWWW! But SO worth it!

LOVE THE SPRING!!!

Easter

So - a couple years ago we started doing this awesome week long celebration of Easter with the kids and it has been amazing. I felt like we should share the wealth. SO below is our family Easter plan if you are interested! Let me know if you have any questions.

We still do the traditionally egg hunt and ham dinner etc, we just moved it to the first day of Spring and call it our Welcome Spring Party. The kids love it!

OK - So I totally couldn't get the thing to attach! Email me if you're interested and I'll send you the doc.! Thanks!
