bah!

Do you ever have a time in your life when you just can't catch a break?  well, that's how this last week has been.

Let me just vent for a sec and tell you all about it:

So, to start off my week, last week, i answered the door to an angry neighbor.  apparently, our dogs had gotten out the night before and got into their goats, killing one and chewing up the other.  Which is crazy for me to believe because our dogs are heelers, which ya, they like to chase things.  but they literally let our kids jump on them, pull their ears, poke their eyes, and pull their nipples when they are nursing puppies -k-?

So, we go over, and see the damage.  HOLY CRAP!  $500 in damages including 2 goats, 12 chickens they got last spring, and $50 in meds for the damn things.

My blood pressure is rising as i am typing this.

ok, so we come home to process all this helpful info.  and the more we try to come to terms with it, the more we are boggled.  we just keep thinking about everything we could do with $500-fix cade's truck's A/C, get oil changes on all our vehicles, a wood burning stove, christmas-for hell sakes!

So, to add to the crap luck, Cash gets some crazy virus, i am still teetering on taking him in to the Dr or not.  He's way sick, fever, coughing allover the place.  Lilly started with the same thing this morning.....I just keep thinking, great, what if the baby gets it?   Hospital stay?

So, today as I was rocking the baby to sleep, my sweet little Lilly decided she was going to wash all my makeup brushes AND my makeup down the sink.  Ya, all MAC and Bareminerals that I owned, GONE!  down.  the.  drain............bah!

i was a little upset when I discovered this to say the least.

It was probably at the least $300 worth of stuff.  all my eyeshadows, bronzer, and half of my foundation-in the bottom of the drain.

Poop! Now i'm never going to be pretty again!

This week just keeps getting better!  I am expecting at least 1 more crap thing to happen. Bad luck comes in 4's around here, it seems.

Thanks for listening to me.  I probably sound really ungrateful.  Well, i am trying to work on being thankful for crappy days.  Trying to see the silver lining, people!

Ok, these bars are A-MAZING!!  I am not a huge peanut butter fan, but I could literally eat the whole pan....  My cute cousin brought these to our family reunion on the 24th of July, and sent some home with us.  We ate them all before we even got home!  They are divine!  So, as I can go on and on all day how delish these are, here's the recipe you can try for yourself. :)

*add in vanilla, flour & soda.  mix in oatmeal.
*press into a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

3 months

My little McCoy boy is 3 months old.  I can't even handle how fast time is flying by!  We are getting ready to bless him next Sunday and he barely fits in the blessing outfit I have for him.  It was Cade's when he was a baby and I really wanted to use it since it is kinda an heirloom in a way.  I am so glad we aren't waiting any longer or it wouldn't fit at all.   Dang healthy babies, grow up too fast!  :)

McCoy is getting more fun every day!  He loves to smile and talk to you.  He will find you and just smile and smile at ya until you look at him and start talking, then he get all wiggly and talks back to you.  Cutest thing ever!!  He LOVES Cash and as soon as Cashy walks in the room, McCoy searches for him and when he finds him, he gets so excited that he kicks his legs as fast as he can, lets out a big sigh then squeaks when he breaths in.   It just makes my heart smile!  If I think about it too long, I get a little teary...  All's I want out of life is for my kids to be best friends.

I made these little invites and thought they were too cute not to share. :)

i got the idea from cardsetcetera on easy.com

yes, he has red hair and yes, it does run in our family.
for some reason, people are shocked that he has red hair, like it's this abnormal color or something......
i personally love it and think it's darling!!
not the greatest pic, but he was talking to Cash and I couldn't not use this one!

I was just having fun trying different settings on my camera and as you can tell, McCoy was thrilled about it. :)

#1 no filter, just sharpened
#2 skin is retouched and smoothed out.  touched up his eyes to make them sparkle.
