Chicken Gumbo

On Saturday, some of Caleb's family came over for Chicken Gumbo. I was having a craving for it, so I decided I would try a recipe out. It was really good.

Going out of Town

Caleb and I are headed out of town tomorrow. We are going on the annual Barney Island Park trip. We are hoping for good weather. It's only supposed to rain on Thursday and Friday (keep your fingers crossed). We will be back July 1st.

Father's Day

Last Sunday was Father's Day. I am a little late on this post. I just wanted my dad to know how much I admire him. He is always so good to us and helps us out whenever we need. I have always loved doing projects with him and working with him. Thanks for everything Dad! Love you!

Lucky Day

I actually got this fortune last Tuesday, and Wednesday didn't prove to be especially lucky. We'll see what future Wednesdays have in store for me. I sure wouldn't mind a little extra luck.

Mom & Dad visiting

On Wednesday night, my parents came to stay at our house for the night. It was fun to have them there and visit with them. We made them dinner and then we played cards. Runs & Bunches...it's a Landon family favorite. It's kind of like Phase 10, but more fun.

Grandpa Dallas

Caleb's grandpa, Dallas, came over to our house this week. It was fun visiting with him and learning some more about him. He & Laura have recently moved down here from Blackfoot. We are excited to have him closer to us.

Last weekend we went up to Caleb's dad's house for his birthday. He gave us some pictures that he had just found. Here is Caleb & his grandpa at Caleb's high school graduation in 2000.

Logan

I went up to Logan for the evening last night to see Mel, Ben & Oliver. Ashley was up there for the weekend too. Ashley got this little hat in Scotland. We all had to get our picture with the hat on. Oliver looks so cute in it.

Outside my window

This is what it looks like outside right now. We have been getting so much rain. The sky is dark and the trees are so green.

I am just learning about my camera. I bumped up the ISO for this picture and it made it a little more dramatic.

2nd Anniversary

I can't believe another year has gone by. We celebrated our anniversary a little early this year. It's not officially 2 years until June 14. This weekend we went up to Midway and stayed at the Homestead. It was nice to getaway for a bit and fun to be up in the mountains. It's so beautiful up there.

Caleb's panoramic shot of the valley. I put it together in photoshop. I kind of like the lines it created from shot to shot.

No trip would be complete without this classic shot.

At the Homestead, they have a this crater you can swim in. It is a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock that nature has hollowed out and filled with 90° to 96° water. The water was so blue and warm. Perfect for swimming. I would love to come back here in the winter. It would be great to get in when it is really cold and snowy outside.

We ate at the Cuckoo Cafe. They had an excellent Spinach Feta Soup.

We saw Bridal Veil Falls on our way home.

Donut Falls

My sister, Ashley, and I got to hang out on Saturday. We went on a little hike to Donut Falls. It's really a nice short hike and very beautiful. We have been getting a lot of rain lately so the colors were really amazing.

Ali

This is Ali. She is Caleb's brother Trevor & his wife Stacie's daughter. (I think that whole sentence is grammatically incorrect.) We got to watch her at our house a couple time this last week. Trevor and Stacie got to go to Mexico for a week. Ali got to stay at Grandma Cory's house....and we got to see her too. She was a lot of fun to have. Her favorite words are "No" & "No Way". Caleb can get her to say no to just about anything. I was able to get her to stay still for a couple seconds and get a couple photos.
