More importantly
March 15, 2011
I may feel that I did not hit my objective, but if I did what God instructed me to do instead of what I hoped to achieve, isn’t that more impt?
Cause that means that I’m learning to obey God more, and God working thru me than I work with my own strength blindly.
A heart that listens to what God’s instructions and that carries them out is more important..

“Be creative for the right reason: the gospel is the right reason. Innovate to help people realize they matter to God. It’s not enough to innovate just to innovate. You innovate to accomplish the purposes of the church (worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism). Otherwise you’re just being cute. And that’s a waste of your time.”

Why We Worship
January 21, 2011
I Was just musing, then realised that i sometimes take things too seriously.. But I guess a good balance is required.. Be more casual – well with a little more fun things are always more pleasant and enjoyable, participants find more motivation to engage themselves. Be it in the context of leading a lifegroup or teaching in a class..
But of course, discipline has it’s place.. So need to learn how and when to serve it, with a tinge of wisdom!
Wisdom to love
December 23, 2010
Actually it takes great wisdom to love someone so deeply
that he / she feels it.. Wisdom to love with the Big Picture in
mind. When you’re just like a jar – you wouldn’t want to carelessly
spill your love over a cup, allowing gallons and gallons of fluid
to just spill out and over, sometimes totally missing the cup. You
have to set your cup in the right angle and inclined aptly, so all
your contents go into the cup, specially just for him /
her…
vision has its price
December 10, 2010
1. What to give up in order to pursue vision?
Short term:
Long term:
2. What is your hesitation? What do you feel about taking the next step? Wht’s the worst thing that can happen? is it worth the risk?
3. Are you asking or expecting everyone to commit to something at a level you yourself have not yet commited to?
4. If the risk that you’re taking has the potential to jeopardize the livelihood if others, mske sure you involve them in decision making. How?
vision
December 3, 2010
i just realised, how far my whole extended family, is away from God.
the problem is that there are people in our midst, our families, friends, neighbours, classmates, cca mates, relatives, teachers, acquaintances, who do not know God.
the solution therefore, is the good news of Jesus Christ, that there is a loving God who is willing to forgive them of their sins and save them from their regrets, hurts, disappointments, scars–and give them fresh new life to start all over, and give them a purpose and meaning in life.
we are then responsible to love these people, love them so much till they can feel it.
the reason is that if we do not tell people about this God, they will forever live in darkness and in their hurts, guilt, aimlessness and emptiness, and miss out entirely in God’s richness of goodness and love.
why we must do it now is because, time is running out. their lives are fragile. and there are just so many more out there to reach out to we need to begin the work now.
Lord please give us what we need to do what you’ve called us to do. not my will, but yours be done. give me the courage that i may not avoid awkwardness, hence trading of their entry into a life with God. give me the compassion to genuinely love people, till the point that they can feel it and are touched. give me the focus to manage my life, so that i do not be distracted by the peripherals of life, and do what is important to you, in the kingdom of God–that the souls of ppl be saved.
Phew Lord, Im gna need so much more of your help in this!

It’s amazing that the airport bus in hongkong actually has wifi on it. Awesome right. Going to board the plane and begin my journey back, and yes, do the many things I want to do.
snsd
October 7, 2010
i know im probably quite slow but i think i finally caught the snsd fever, somewhat lol. after watching this korean reality show–which i must really say that the korea tv entertainment industry is really well established man. really funny stuffs there, i think even better than japanese ones heh–called Win Win or something, then they actually have this interview session asking them a whole list of qns that were really intriguing.
so after watching the whole show, really cannot deny that they are really a bunch of very entertaining people, the way they talk, share and express themselves. talk about the same old everyday life, but very entertaining haa. i guess their good looks and sexy dance moves and talents of sorts helps also la, but its just like anyother career.
(btw i think sunny very pretty lol). hence i went to wiki her and i think she resembles someone i know. and i realised that she’s been in the entertainment industry since she was 9 (in 1998) and she’s now 21. so a good whopping 12 years of training and immersion in that whole performing culture. its no wonder that they end up how they’re who they are right, and they do put in alot of hard work to perfect their moves and songs, working with people and being under stress and all. its just like another career.
on a more personal note, i guess there’s no need for anyone to feel insecure eh about your entertainment value eh. afterall they’re paid and trained to be that, to be entertainers. whereas common folks like us can just be your unglam and goofy self heh. just some random musings of mine.
just be yourself, just the way you are, the way you’re wired to be.

anw, just have thsi thought that. being relevant and rooted in the Word is really important. having sacred enclosures that keep you healthy and in check in God, and being relevant so that you can influence and draw ppl closer to Christ. real importanttt.
