Bear Lake 08

My Mom's Dad built a cabin up at Bear Lake a really long time ago and it's always fun to get up there, but Neil and I usually only go like once a year (my parents go even less often!). We just got back from our yearly trip and had all sorts of fun.
This is what my parents do for fun no matter where we are in the world! They swim, bike, run, swim, bike run...

Me and Livvie on the tube. I was WAY more afraid than she was.

Neil and Maxwell

Dad and reagan at the beach

Me and Tink getting extra Sandy

This is what I do for fun on vacation-- PIG OUT at all times

You'd think the kids would want to play on the beach at the beach, but they just wanted to watch Sponge Bob

Other beach Goers included (from front to back) Taylor, Brittney, Rand and Madison.

Shelley, Sean, Madison, Ethan, Alex, Lindsay, Taige, Dad, and Berrie

I've got to get as much fun under my belt before school starts and I go crazy with stress!

Paintball of Death

Neil had the opportunity to go paintballing with his friend from work Blake and the Special Ops/National Guard. He has not stopped talking about how much fun he had!
Here he is w/ Blake in just some of the gear they gave them.

His awesome gun

This is the house that Neil and his team had to attack and pretend they were going in after terrorists.

I've never been paintballing, but I don't think I'd be up for it: too scary!

Isabella Chilton

My good friend in Australia was working with her landscapers at their house in Byron Bay when she slipped and landed on a board with a nail in it! Her friend Smithy had to detach the board from the nail (and her hand) so they could go to the nearest Medical Center.

She's BRAVE!

The doctor at the Bangalow Medical Centre couldn't do too much with it so he bandaged it up (with the nail still in it obviously) and sent them off to the Hospital.

Here are the X- Rays. The doctor said that the blunt end of the nail almost never goes through first!

They admitted her for surgery to remove the nail and LUCKILY she only bruised the ligaments in her hand!

Georgy bought Bella this sweet little teddy bear who also has a nail through his hand!

Tamara, Bella, and Georgy. Bella was less than thrilled about getting stuck in the pediatric ward for 2 nights, she is 18 after all.

The hospital awarded her with the Bravery Award! I'm sure she'll frame that one. (why Ronald McDonald and the Hamburglar are on the certificate is a mystery, maybe the peds ward at the hospital is sponsored by McDonalds?)

Bella- I hope you get better soon, I bet all the little kids were wishing they could room with you!
Thanks Georgy for lending me the pics of your sister's adventure!

I'm Not Crazy

I just really hate sweeping and I really like vacuuming.
So after I trimmed these trees a little bit there were leaves everywhere and I didn't want to go around picking them up one by one, so I had a genius idea to bring out my little vacuum and take care of business!

Plus- talk about a sexy and totally matching outfit! I try to look my best while doing yard work.
Oh yeah, speaking of Vacuuming, mine freaking broke last night! That really pisses me off!

Surf N Swim

Surf N Swim really is still there, I've wondered if anyone ever went to it and if it was still as fun as it used to be. Kelsey and I decided to go today because I love to swim (by swim I really mean float in the water and/or lay out next to the pool) and she's always really hot. Truth be told, it still is fun, although I started getting seasick during the giant wave party (Good thing you didn't come MIssy, you would've barfed for sure!)
I would recommend it to all- and they say they got a new infrared light or something to kill the Cryptosporidium, but I'll let ya know if I get deathly ill.

Not a great picture, but it was a really great day!!

July 13, 2008

Tuesday July 8th was my Mom's birthday. I know I'm slow and lazy on getting this up, sorry about that.

She is amazing at everything she does.
She still cooks dinner for the whole family every night (no one actually still lives at home)
She is an avid runner, hiker, swimmer, biker- you name it
She does at least 1 IRON MAN with my Dad every year (this year they're doing 2!)
She adores and spoils all 10 of her grandchildren
I'll never be the favorite child, but she's for sure my favorite MOM!
I don't know what we'd all do without her!

Kelsey's Baby Shower

Today me, Missy, Cristi, and Netti threw a baby shower for Kelsey. It was very fun and we all stuffed ourselves with more trans fats than you could believe. I think there were like 4 or 5 pregnant girls there so it was fun for everyone to talk due dates, cravings, etc.

Kelsey will be induced in just 3 short weeks (unless of course she gets extra lucky and has him earlier). It's gone so fast I still remember the exact moment she told me she was pregnant- I cried for at least a week!
Sorry if there's a weird, tiny, half picture thrown in there, I can't figure this crap out today! It shows up on my computer but not my parents

Fourth of July FUN

We had a blast celebrating Freedom with our great family and friends!

Sorry for another slide show, I need to learn how to do different things with lots of pictures.

The Taymanator

Okay, so I realize I'm a day behind on all my birthday posts, but Yesterday was my little brother Taylor's 20th birthday.
He is such a riot to be around and you just never know what to expect from this guy.
He is definitely a man of a million looks.
Here he is last Christmas when my mom ordered him special huge jammies from that weird magazine they give you on airplanes, ya know- Sky Mall.

Shelley and Tay last year in Hawaii at the Dole Plantation

me and Tay at his LHS graduation, I think he graduated in 2006

Hula Hooping

You just can't think about Taylor w/o thinking of his BFF Jason! He's like my other little brother. Jason actually pushed back his mission availability date so he could come on one more family vacation with us, he's been coming for years and years and is so much fun! Here's Neil, Tay and Jason at Newport Beach.

Taylor and Jason in Sun Valley.

Taylor just wanted Home made Ice Cream instead of any sort of cake, so we just had to put a couple candles on a cupcake for him (or the kids rather) to blow out.

Also, Happy Birthday to our great friends Aaron and Missy! Aaron's birthday is the same as Taylor's and Missy's is today! YEAH! July is a very busy birthday month!

First Birthday, Already!?

Shelley and Sean's babies turned 1 year old on July 1st. I took too many pictures at the birthday party last night, so I had to do a slide show.
