A Tiny Bit of Christmas

Neil and I definitely had the best gift this year!
Yes, I put him in a stocking and santa hat- just for a minute so we could take a few pictures!~

Neil opening one of his presents Christmas morning.

My parents bought another Wii and some new games. Jeff and Liv (mostly just Liv) are playing the Abba dance game.

We also went to Pat and Dawn's Christmas morning

Neil got a new slide (or something) for his sig.

Blake got a panda pillow pet.

Dane was exhausted by the busy day- just like the rest of us!

The Night(s) before Christmas

Christmas time was busier and crazier than ever this year!
My cousin, Liddle was in town from California with her new baby Soleil. Soleil was born just a day before Barrett and they're second cousins, so we had to go to their party so Barrett and Soleil could meet.
Here's Liz and I holding each other's babies.

Here's the Dads- Mark and Neil. Can you tell all 4 of us parents are sleep deprived!?

Next we headed to the annual Johnson family Christmas Bingo party- always a hit.

On the 24th, we had the Christensen family Christmas Eve party, but thanks to Jill and Taylor, we had to have the party during the day and not at night... Lame!
Here's Grandma CC and Baby Bear.
It was very chaotic!!
Kids and presents EVERYWHERE!

This is Bear's sleep sheep that Tay bought him.
Mom opening the present from all of us kids. It's a gift card to J & J nursery so they can replace the tree that blew over in the windstorm.

Neil and Barrett with some of his presents from Pops and LaLa

Father and son. One of these cute boys is balding (at least we know at this point it will grow back eventually!).

The ornament picture. My ornament is the cutest chubby snowman holding a little baby snowman- just like me and Bear this year!
Are you surprised Barrett and I actually were around people!? So was everyone else. In my defense, I was very uncomfortable about it!

Ugly Sweater Parties

We got invited to a couple of awesome ugly sweater parties this year.
At the "Dinner Club" party, we had a big, yummy breakfast- so really it was Breakfast Club this time.
Then we had a "Last Snowman Standing competition". I didn't bring any snow clothes, so I didn't participate but it looked like so much fun!
Each team builds their snowman.

Their snowman/pile.
The team Scott, Markham, Neil, Heather snowman.

Then each person took a turn throwing a ball at the other team's snowman, trying to destroy it.

After 3 rounds, each team had only hit the opposite snowman 1 time. Markham (who happened to be a state champion hammer thrower in high school) destroyed the other snowman on his first throw.

Aaron T knocked the head off of this guy.

And this is what happened after the Double Blake, Aaron, Jason team lost.

Then, Jason put together a Christmas movie trivia game.

Then it was time for the Ugly Sweater fashion show.
Heather's
Mine- you can't see my jewelry, unfortunately. I'm wearing a beautiful ceramic Christmas light bulb necklace and matching earrings.

Jason's

Blake's
And I'm missing pics of everyone else's sweet sweaters. Anyways, it was great!

Our other Ugly Christmas Sweater party was tons of fun too!
We took a group picture- awkward family photo style

We did gag white elephant gifts. Joe was stoked about his yo yo- he actually did some really awesome tricks!

We got to play some games.
Catch Phrase is always a classic!

Showing off the sweaters.

I won this contest- I think it's just because of the HUGE amount my mom paid for this sweater back in the day!

Which Is It?

Neil's Aunt Alayne made Barrett this super soft and warm snowsuit/bunting.
Barrett, of course, is adorable in it.

But he's a little unsure about it.

I'm wondering if he's supposed to be Maggie Simpson...
A wizard...
Or maybe it's just meant to be a star :)

Sleepover

Last week, Neil went out of town for work so Barrett and I had a sleep over at Pops and LaLa's house. Luckily, my parents have just about everything you need for a baby, so I really didn't have to pack too much. Bear had the choice of sleeping in the Ragazzi crib, the Pack n Play's "Newborn Station," or the pink toile bassinet. We went with the pack n play since it required the least amount of rearranging and set up.

I have the best parents ever and my mom got up with him all night! She'd change him, give him to me so he could eat, and then she'd take him again to burp him and put him back to bed! Lucky us - but my poor mom hardly slept at all!

He had his first sink bath at our sleep over, again, luckily my mom did that too because I'm sure I would suck at that!

Thanks for taking such good care of us- I'm sure we'll be back again for another sleep over!
