Tis the season for family parties!
We had our Christensen family party on Friday night last week and it was really fun just like it always is.
There was a theme this year of the Lawrence Welk Show because my grandparents always loved that show. We were urged to dress up, but I totally forgot and didn't even look for anything "old" to wear :( The family members that did dress up were a freakin hit!
Here's some of the party goers. Barrett was in his jammies because we only stayed for a minute and then had to take him home to go right to bed.
Dane and Hadley playing in the bubble machine. Bear really like the bubbles too.
Stef, Jill, and Berrie
Liv, Berrie, Dane, Stef (thanks for smiling!), John and Hads, and McCord.
Aunt Beep
Me and Bear
Uncle David as Grandpa RJ
Julie as Grandma Roselyn and Kathy.
"RJ and GiGi" People who saw Julie from far away really thought it was my grandma! I couldn't get over how awesome she looked- she really does look exactly like a young Grandma GiGi!
Wendy, Kelsey, David, Julie, and Beep all dressed up.
We had left by this time, but they also had some family band time. There's 10 kids in my dad's family and they all play several instruments and are just very musically talented. So, the folks that have some talent brought along an instrument or two and jammed for a while. I was sad to have missed it, not because I can play anything, but I just wanted to watch.
Later that night (I hate when we get double booked!), we had the Johnson sibling game night at Kurt and Monica's. Here's when Blake won the LCR money game. I won the next round!
Sunday night was the Johnson family Bingo party. Little Lola saw this turkey leg on the counter and just grabbed it started eating it! She looked so cute with it!
Bingo time! Beck was the official Bingo helper this year. He rocked it!
Me and Neil playing Bingo. It's kind of blurry, we can thank Maupu for that ;)
A lovely picture of Henry- also thanks to Maupu!
This was Barrett's Bingo winning (he was already in bed though).
Neil and Maupu doing their punch chugging contest. Neil won. He always wins.
Blake (and Leah and Lola) with his Bingo winning.
Then we gave Pat and Dawn their Christmas present from all the kids.
We just got 8x10 pictures of all the grandkids framed for their St. George house, but they loved them! They teared up when they were opening them.
Stella and Ava watching.
Here's all the pictures of all 9 grandkids.
At the end of the night, I would ask Lola if she was a tired girl and she would nod her head and snuggle into me. It was the cutest thing! She's so squeezable!
