McCall and Neil's Super Fun Blog

The day after Christmas, we finally got around to our stockings (with the exception of pulling out our little cereals for breakfast Christmas morning).
My mom always gets me vanilla Tootsie Rolls in my stocking because they're amazing.  This year she couldn't find them anywhere so she ordered 3 bags online! That's a lot of Tootsie Rolls!

Bear got a PEZ dispenser in his stocking and he loved it!

We went over to Jill and Don's one night to hang out and play some games.




Jason, Taylor, Neil, and I went out to The Habit for dinner and then to The Hobbit after.

This toy was set up already and he was really into it!

We got our mini cereal boxes out of our stockings for breakfast.


Neil's been out of his cologne for a few months now so he was pretty excited to get more.

I finally got a new camera!  We went back and forth a lot about getting a camera like this one or an SLR, but Neil thought this one would be better since it will actually fit in my purse.  It's supposed to be kind of a crossover between a point and shoot and an SLR.  We'll see...

Bear got really sick of opening presents; he just wanted to play with his cousins and the things he had already opened.

My parents got him some fruit that you can cut and I think that was his favorite thing.

Later in the morning, the grandkids all came back for presents from my parents.



The three of us went over to Neil's parent's house so Neil could get something from his dad.  It's some sort of gun thing, as always.  Bear enjoyed the juice and bacon!

And we had to go ride the cars for a while.  Yes, I really went over there in my jammies and it was ridiculous.  Oh well.

Pat and Dawn opened some presents.

After Bear's nap, we went over to Grandma CC's for Christmas lunch.

Shelley got Grandma some NCIS dvds too.

Next we went to Grandma GiGi's where we ate all her popcorn and pretzels.  Either we were really hungry or it was really good popcorn.  Probably both.

THEN, John and Stef came back over for the rest of their Christmas presents from my parents.

And Jill's family came over too because Christmas is a family day and we see a lot of each other :)

At the end of the night, my parents finally got around to opening their gifts to each other.  Dad got Mom some protein pancake mixes. We ate some the other day and they were really good!
What a LONG day.  So fun though and we love spending the day with our best friends!  I went to bed that night at 9:30!

We actually had Bear start opening some presents during the day because I knew he'd get sick of it if he had to open everything all at once on Christmas morning.   He got this little Adidas outfit from Grandma Lyril.

The big boys were playing Wii and Bear was trying to play with them with the TV remote.

We did the nativity story again this year.  McCord, Tink, Ethan, and Dane were shepherds. Liv and Hadley were the angel. Max was our 1 wiseman. Bear was Joseph.  Lindsay and Reagan were both Mary.

Then it was time to open gifts.  We draw names in our family and my dad made a rule this year that you had to give a hug to the person that gave you a gift.  There were some pretty sweet hugs.







I gave Sean a present and the picture was funny because Shelley always says me and Sean should've gotten married and she and Neil should've gotten married because those pairs have more in common than the real spouses.  Obviously, she doesn't really want to switch but she calls us the "ought to have beens".

So then the other "ought to have beens" had to get a picture too.  And Jill photobombed.

Shelley bought Jill several seasons of her favorite show, NCIS.  She was pretty excited about them!


Then all the kids got their slippers from Pops and LaLa.



And we got our new ornament.

The siblings gave my parents a nice new waffle maker from Williams-Sonoma.  We've already used it and it's awesome.

The best part was getting some old home videos transferred over to DVD.  So fun to watch!

We put one on right away.

Everyone else had to get home but me, Neil, my parents, and Taylor stayed up til about midnight watching more of the dvds.
