The Last Week or Two

Bear went to the store with LaLa one afternoon and came home with the biggest, coolest balloon.  He still plays with it everyday!

Pops and Bear having a water fight.

Neil and I went out to The Cheesecake Factory with Ashley one night.  It was really fun even though the wait was ridiculously long!

Bear would play on phones and iPads all day everyday if we'd let him!

LaLa, Bear, and Shelley "tipping and tailing" the beans to can.

Bear found some stickers and put about 50 of them on him the other day.  This is only about 1/3 of the stickers he stuck to himself.

He never wants to come inside and he usually ends up throwing a fit about it.  He wouldn't let me take off his shoes, jacket, or sunnies after a meltdown the other day and kept them on throughout his lunch.

He's started to fight naps :(  Probably 2-3 times every week now, he won't sleep in his crib so I'll have to drive him around in the car until he falls asleep.  I'll do whatever it takes because I am NOT ready for him to be done with naps!!   (I had a better (lighter) picture of him but i think Bear deleted it while playing on my phone!)

Baby Mya

Today we got to go meet 2.5 week old Mya Meghan Lorenzen.  She is the sweetest little babe and I got to hold her forever!  It was fun for Bear to get to play with his friends and for me to play with my friends too!
Barrett, Zeek, and Eli.
My camera is really starting to break, so these aren't the greatest pictures.

Bear LOVED Mya!  He would pat her head and back super soft and wanted to hold her and kiss her too.  It was pretty adorable!
I always need more time to spend with these girls!!

Syracuse High School Sundays

Since the gym is closed on Sundays, I got together with some of my friends for an early morning workout about 4 or 5 times over the summer.  It was so fun and SO hard!  I don't have a ton of pictures since I was busy sweating to death, but here's a few.

Today was the best because it was such cool weather.

Me and Bonnie at the end of the workout.

Quick Trip

We made a last minute trip down to St. George this weekend.  Neil's parents bought another house down there and we hadn't seen it yet plus we wanted to get away from the rain.  The new house in so nice- we loved it!  The weather was absolutely perfect too!  I am so glad we went!  We drove there and back during Barrett's naptime which worked out really well!
As soon as we got there on Thursday afternoon, we headed right into the hot tub.

Friday morning, we went on a little walk and ended up at a nearby park and splash pad.  Bear had a great time and didn't want to leave!

Even though he's not supposed to have his feet up on the table, I had to get a picture of him kicking up his feet during his lunch.

We could not get enough of the pool and hot tub.  While Barrett was napping on Friday, I had a little nap too while I floated in the pool.  It was great except for the fact that I didn't put sunscreen on and I got so burned!!
Barrett did not let this firetruck out of his sight until we left!

We went and got some yummy cold stone ice cream.  Bear and I are both learning to share ;)

On Sunday, Neil had to fly out to go back to Texas for the week and it was the saddest goodbye ever!  Bear was saying, "Da Da stay" and it broke all of our hearts!  After Neil left, we went to church and Bear kept saying, "Da Da go?" asking where Da Da went.  It was seriously heartbreaking!  Just when we get used to having Daddy around again, he leaves :(

Jump!

Yesterday Bear and I met up with some friends to go to one of the nearby trampoline parks.  It was a really fun place and not at all crowded!  We liked this one a lot better than the one we used to go to in Toronto because I didn't have to wear weird trampoline shoes and they didn't have so many crazy rules!  In Toronto, I couldn't hold Bear and jump- I couldn't even hold his hands and bounce with him!  If I wanted to jump, I had to be 2 trampoline squares away from him!  They're nuts up there!
He really had a ton of fun- we need to go again!

This is Naomi and Barrett.  I used to teach at Legacy Junior High with Naomi's mom, Erika, so that's how we know them.  I think Naomi is about 4 1/2 months younger than Barrett.

They seriously played so cute together!  Bear wanted to go everywhere she was going!

Me and Bear jumping.

Erika and Naomi.

Oh yeah- on an unrelated note.  Soliel came over to our house the other night and we put them in their cute matching Halloween jammies. They were hilarious!

Junior D'ettes

Last week, 3 of my nieces participated in Davis High's junior D'ettes program where they got to learn a dance and perform at the football game.
Right before half time, it started to rain :(
The little girls are dancing somewhere in this mob.  They danced in smaller sections so we could find them better.

Here's Reagan after the performance.

Tinkerbell.

Lindsay and my cousin's daughter Camryn.
It stopped raining right after their dance, but they did a really good job and had lots of fun even if they were wet!

Recently...

We take so many pictures of Bear and I want them to get printed into our annual blog book so sometimes I just have to throw a bunch of them into one post.

Bear discovering the coolness of goggles.

Still loving tomatoes!  He just started taking bites of things and opening really wide to show you his big bite.

Probably a month or 2 ago, we had to start turning Bear's sleepsack inside out before putting it on him because he was always getting out of it during naps and bedtime.  Now the zipper is on the inside, so he can't unzip it and get out.
Also, about the same time, he started asking for "rocka" before getting put down.  He wants to be held like a baby and you have to sing rock a bye baby to him.  We love it, of course, but he is so tall that his long legs nearly wrap around my body!
Since he can't unzip his sleepsack anymore, sometimes he'll get his arms out through the neck hole and pull it off that way!  I guess we'll be moving on to real blankets sometime soon!

Bear and I went with Jill and Rocket on a walk to pick up the kids from school the other day.  It's pretty sad we only see them about once a week now, so they were all really excited and surprised to see each other that day!

I just signed Barrett up for another little gym class.  I am actually pretty grossed out by the place we go but he seems to like it a lot more than the one we used to go to.

LaLa had Bear at the store with her today and he likes to hold a lot of the things instead of putting them in the cart.  He was holding rolls while my mom turned to get some chicken, and just in those few seconds, he unwrapped the rolls and had started eating them.  He didn't even tear the package or anything, he just very neatly unwrapped them and got some bites for himself.  We thought it was really funny!

Alex showed up at our house the other day wearing the exact same shorts as Bear.  They were pretty excited to be twinners!

Then Bear made himself at home on Ethan's lap so he could read him a book.

At dinner that night, he cuddled right into LaLa while she sang him some songs.  He stayed with here for a really long time too!

We finally got around to getting Barrett's hair cut.  AND we finally figured out the magic recipe for him not to scream and cry the whole time: sitting on mommy's lap.  He still didn't like it exactly, but he held still and didn't fuss at all!

Cute selfies of my beautiful boys.
Well, I think I'm about caught up now!
