This is the schedule that I left for my parent's while they were tending him. I just wanted to add it to the blog book because I think it's interesting and kind of funny how crazy I really am. I revised this like 50 times too adding tiny little details.
Wakes up anywhere from 6-8am.
Sit on potty. Throughout each day, remind him to tell you when he needs to go pee or poop (do this a
million times). Try not to ASK him if he
needs to go pee/poop (it’s part of the training). Make sure he washes his hands or gets special
lotion (hand sanitizer) every time he goes potty.
Eat breakfast (cereal).
Take vitamins (1/2 a Flintstone vitamin and 1 whole
gummy)
Watch a show- I let him watch about 30-40 minutes of a
show each day- Try not to go TOO much over that.
Get him dressed and put on clean underwear.
Comb hair and brush teeth.
Play, run errands, whatever.
11-11:30
lunch
12:15-12:30
start getting him ready for his nap. Go
potty, brush his teeth, take off pants. Put him in his green cotton sleepsack for his nap.
Let him turn on his sleepsheep- it doesn’t go in his
crib with him, sing rock a bye baby (or he will sing it while you rock him),
lay him in his bed with 2 blankies and 2 raggies. Put Vaseline on lips. Remind him to tell you when he needs to go
pee or poop.
**If he says something about “dark”, this is what he
wants you to say (even at naptime):
“When it’s dark outside, we go to sleep and we sleep
ALL night. In the morning the sun will
come up and it will be light outside and you can wake up and LaLa will come and
get you. Mommy and Daddy are too far
away so they can’t come get you.” He may
also ask if Tyce, Rylee, Kelsey, or Alex are going to come get him, tell him
they’re too far away too.
He will probably tell you he needs to pee/poop a few
times before he’ll go to sleep. You just
have to keep going in there and taking him to try and putting him back in
bed. You don’t have to repeat any of the
bedtime routine stuff though.
Don’t let him sleep past 3:30pm or he will have a really hard time going to sleep at
night. He’s the best cuddler when you
have to wake him up!
He needs a snack shortly after he wakes up.
6:00
Dinner. If he doesn’t eat a vegetable
with dinner, he needs to eat a squeezy.
6:30
bathtime. I only bathe him every other
night unless he gets really dirty/messy.
You can bathe him more if you prefer, or in the morning, or whatever
works for you.
7:00
bedtime. Whether he gets bathed or not, he needs lotion on his legs and
face. If he still has bad excema spots
on his legs and bum, put the hydrocortisone on the spots before you put on the
Eucerin. Dress him in his thick, white underwear, any of his
2-piece jammies, and socks. Get his teeth brushed and go potty. Put him in his fleece sleepsack, let him turn
on his sleepsheep, but leave it on the big bed, sing rock a bye baby (or he
will sing it while you rock him), lay him in his bed with 2 blankies and 2
raggies. Put Vaseline on lips. Remind him to tell you when he needs to go
pee or poop.
He’ll tell you he wants to go pee/poop. Put him back in
his sleepsack each time.
If his big toes are sore, put the muprocin on the sore
spots.
Don’t put him in a 1-piece footie pj because they are
too hard to get on and off at night.
Only use the tiniest
smear of toothpaste since it’s fluoridated and he doesn’t spit it out.
