I was laying in bed one morning when I could hear Bear wake up on the monitor. The first thing he said was, "It's show time!"
Other entertaining phrases from him include, Holy crap! and No way Jose!
If the sun is in his eyes, he'll block it with his fist and say, "Shield my eyes!" I think he got that from Buzz Lightyear.
He seems to think that hate is the past tense of hit so he'll often say I hate that ball (or whatever he just hit). I'll say, "you hate that ball or you hit it?" Then he'll say he hit it, that's why I think he thinks that... Or maybe he really does hate everything.
He wants to say the exact same thing as people at the exact same time, so he's constantly trying match what we're saying as we're saying it.
We had to get my car registered this month and when Neil went out to put the 2015 sticker on, he found my 2014 sticker in my glovebox. We never put it on my license plate and I never got pulled over for it! I wish I would've just saved the money from last year's registration since I never even needed it.
My family was teasing me for telling Barrett that if he wanted a cookie, he had to eat it over the garbage. Those Chips Ahoys are super crumbly!
Another thing that I don't know where it came from is whenever he has a noisy bodily function of any kind, he'll laugh and say, "that was me!" He will then say excuse me so that's a plus, but I think boys might actually be born with the idea that burps and farts are funny because we have never modeled that behavior!
He's been loving wearing Lala's ironman hat.
This kid has the worst toenails, I feel so bad for him. Ever since he was born he's been getting nonstop ingrown toenails. His doctor doesn't want to operate on him because he's still so young. Recently, he started growing a new toenail underneath the ingrown one and then the ingrown one started peeling off. We got the ouchy one off and I hope the new one that grew in will grow normally for once.
We had a funny conversation while we were playing,
Bear: you're so smelly
McCall: I'm smelly?
Bear: yeah, like a flower
McCall: thanks, buddy!
Bear: yeah, you're smelly like (does a great big sniff)
McCall: Ooohhhhh!
I had been sniffing a lot because I had a runny nose for a few days and I guess that means I'm smelly. Although chances are, I was probably actually smelly too!
Neil is traveling a lot this month and Bear misses being able to play with him. Reason #809 we love FaceTime. Bear will just shoot the phone.
Or I'll hold a sword and the phone so it's like Bear is fighting Neil. (He's still really into sword fighting and requires everyone to yell/grunt HURRRR simultaneously before fighting.)
He's hilariously sincere occasionally. He'll tell his cousins in the sweetest voice, I'm so sorry, but I have to go home or whatever. I wish he was that sincere when he actually needed to apologize!
Blake and Jessica brought back this cute turtle shirt for Bear from their honeymoon. Also, those boxer briefs, How cute are they!? I know he's in his underwear a lot, but it's only at our house. I do make him put on clothes if we go places!
Speaking of not wearing clothes... He loves this book
Naked! and anytime he is naked, he runs around yelling I'm naked! and other lines from the book.
We pass McDonald's at least twice every day and he's been asking for a couple weeks to go there. He's never been but he can see the big toy in the window as we drive by, so he wanted to go. He calls it Donald Duck's and I finally took him last week.
He had a blast and I sat and ate a McDonald's breakfast that I should be ashamed of (but I'm not because it was SO good!).
When I put him to bed, he'll say he wants "the sweet dreams on" if he wants me to turn on the nightlight.
We took Bear to Baskin Robbins with the Young Fam for ice cream...
He ordered a cookie.
