Other Pictures

Taylor went to California for a few days so we were babysitting Bowie up at our house.  Barrett loved having her and was pretty sad when she left.

I was looking at a website called Nameberry and was very surprised to see Barrett as a popular baby name.

He had the craziest hat hair one day and I tried and tried to get a good picture.  This one he's mid-cough and it was the best one!

We had the BEST night with some of our friends last weekend.  It was so fun to get to see everyone and play games like old times.  I miss these guys!

Pat and Dawn had their mission farewell on Sunday.  They did a great job with their talks and we enjoyed a delicious lunch afterwards.

I can't even think about them leaving!  They really have the worst timing.  They left for their first mission when Bear was only 5 or 6 weeks old and now they're leaving again and won't get to meet our baby til she's like 6 or 7 months! :(

This is probably my favorite picture of them ever.

We had a game night at Jill and Don's.  The boys have been having a blast with their robocoptors.

I think Bear looks SO much like Nick and Jill in this picture.  He could be part of their family!

Neil and I took Bear to Big Hero 6.  Such a cute movie and Bear was loving having his own popcorn, sprite, and m&ms.

I had an awesome day with my friend Nicole today too and I didn't even get any pictures!  We went to the gym together, went shopping at Lululemon and Ulta, and ate lunch at Zupas.  Awesome girl time!

Our Appointment

Last Monday we went to the doctor for my 16 week appointment and he informed us that he's pretty sure our baby is a girl!

We took pink cupcakes to the Johnson family party to announce it to them.

And then I bought this onesie and had Bear unwrap it at my parent's house on Christmas Eve to announce it to my family.

My mom ran and grabbed something she had bought for the baby just in case it was a girl too.
I think everyone thought it was going to be a girl except for me, Neil, and Barrett.  Bear seems fine with the idea of a sister, by the way.  We'll go in again at 20 weeks and get our targeted ultrasound, so hopefully they'll be able to tell us for sure that day.

Christmas Day

This year has been crazy because we've had pretty much no snow so far.  We all hoped for a white Christmas and we got what we wanted.  We woke up to plenty of snow and it snowed all day long!

Barrett got a little camera shy when he first came downstairs and just ran to me trying not to cry.  He just wanted to cuddle a read a couple books and then warmed up to the idea of opening presents. He got way more presents than I was planning on getting him.  Santa and his grandparents are always spoiling him!

When we'd ask him what was in the presents, he'd say, "you'll see."  When he opened this shirt he said, "it's a beautiful shirt!"

He asked Santa for the Kermit movie and was happy he got it.

He loves his remote control Lightening McQueen.

Giving hugs.

He got 2 new light sabers and hasn't set them down since.  He really could've gotten nothing besides these and he would've been more than happy!

Two new beanies.  A yellow boca and a purple boca (minion).
 Hugs for Pops.

Checking out his stocking.

The baby even got a few more presents.

Neil and the other adult men in our family got these really cool robocoptors.  They actually fly really well and everyone has been having fun with them.

We went to Pat and Dawn's a little later in the morning  Bear got to fly his big airplane that he got from the bingo party.  He'd flight down to Papa and then Papa would fly it back to them.

I thin they had more fun on the wiggle cars though.

We had some yummy breakfast.  Blake and Jessica came up eventually too.

The best moment for Barrett was when Papa let him blow out the candle about 12 times.  He'd just keep lighting it for him again and again!

Some new guns for the boys.

Next we went to Grandma CC's for our Christmas lunch.  We played some games together and really had a blast.  We played Heads Up.

Bear and Lula jumping on the big bean bag.
Garrett brought Cards Against Humanity which was pretty fun too.

Grandma was crying she was laughing so hard during one of the rounds!  So fun.
Tay and the little kids.

We had to get a picture with our wonderful Grandma CC.  I don't have enough pictures of us with our grandparents.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was spent with my side of the family.
After dinner, the kids did the nativity play while Dad read the accompanying Bible verses.

When Bear found out he was being Baby Jesus, he ran up to his bed to get his blankey.
I guess the donkey carried Jesus to the stable intead of Mary in this version.  Nick crawled into the room with Bear hanging onto his back.

After the play, we did the gift exchange.  Shelley gave Barrett this fun fishing game and the best little Minion from Despicable Me that shoots jelly.  He loves it!

Tink and Hadley with their presents.  I gave Hads her My Little Ponies and she told her mom she was so happy she wanted to cry!

Neil got an X Box gift card.

We gave my parents a Steinbach dentist nutcracker and some home videos transferred over to DVDs. (My mom had knee surgery on the 18th, hence the crutches)

The kids all got slippers from my parents.  Barrett was pouting because he couldn't go downstairs and play- even though all the kids were obviously sitting right next to him.
