Toy Mantasaurous?!

Today my favorite thing that May said was:
We played with a TOY MANTASAUROUS!!
Hunter says: "No May! It's called a Praying Mantis. He stops and prays and then he goes again." ... followed by hilarious laughing!!
Hunter says: We found a praying mantis at the park and then in our backyard!! COOL!

This only happens when Breanne E. is around because she picks them up and holds them and the kids think it's the coolest thing ever!! What a funny day. I love that my kids remember the smallest things when its the end of the day and time for bed. It made my day :)

The Miracle of the Seagulls!

May's first talk in primary. We have so many kids in primary that they meet in the chapel for opening exercises. May volunteered last week to give the TALK in primary. I was so surprised! We had to speak on Miracles. So this is what we came up for her to say:
I'm going to tell the story of the Miracle of the Seagulls. When the Pioneers came to Salt Lake.
They planted a garden so they could have foot to eat.
There were lots of crickets that came and ate up lots of their food.
The pioneers prayed and fasted that Heavenly Father would help their garden to be saved.
Seagulls came and ate up all of the crickets and their food was saved.
They remembered to thank Heavenly Father for this Miracle.
When we have Faith Heavenly Father will show us Miracles.
The greatest miracle of all is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Then she bore her testimony!
Bry and I were so proud of her and she spoke loud and clearly so everyone could hear her! It's so fun to watch her grow!! As a parent I love teaching them simple things of the gospel!! It helps our testimonies grow as well!

I never said it would be EASY I only said it would be WORTH IT!

This quote has been on my mind a lot latley!

I honestly don't know how I did everything I did today. Today was one of the hardest days I've had in quite awhile. I want to write this down so in 20 years I can say...."I did that?!"

I had a breakdown this morning while the kids decided to rebel against me (which seems like everyday) they love to run around naked and I have to hold them down just to get them dressed. Hunter was throwing stuff at the piano which is a MAJOR NO NO in our house and making huge messes with creme of wheat in the kitchen (while I was taking my shower).

The house is a disaster but I leave it and go to the park to let them play with their friends and have time to chat with my good friends in the ward. I love friends that are sooooo UPLIFTING and are wonderful influences in my life!!

I have been putting off my errands because I've been tired and no desire to take my kids with me to the store but today was they day we NEEDED to go. I found a reciept in the car for a free arby's roast beef sandwich so the kids were in heaven when I took them to Arby's for lunch. I was so proud of May she ate her WHOLE roast beef sandwich and it was bigger than the one I got! They love any day they get Soda from mom or dad!

We ran to walgreens and waited forever while they got me a perscription for my low iron levels. I had to pay 33.99 or something for a little bottle of pills. That was crazy! At least it will boost some of my iron and stuff up in my body! The kids found the toy aisle while I was waiting for the perscription and of course wanted everything on the aisle. I told them we could ask Santa for Christmas! I was excited because we got lots of fun summer toys for 50 percent off. That was fun!!

Then we went to Payless shoes and returned some shoes that I bought for May for church because she hasn't had new church shoes for a LONG time. She was so excited to find a new pair that would look better for church. She wanted to wear them the whole rest of the day. She kept asking me when it was going to be Sunday so she could wear them to church.

Then by the time we made it to Walmart the kids were "DONE" shopping. I wanted to get a bunch of stuff but my major items were Toilet Paper and Chocolate syrup so the kids could have their chocolate milk. Bubs lost it in the store and I was mortified and left as fast as I could cause he was screaming his guts out. I had to pick him up while he was wacking me everywhere and tried to calm him down while I feel like EVERYONE around me is staring me down.

There were more breakdowns with Bubs after we got home from shopping too over a silly gumball that we had to share!!

We made it home and the greatest blessing of my day is when Bry called me to ask if he should stop and get pizza from papa murphy's for dinner!! I was completey relieved. It was SUPER yummy too!

I vacummed the basement so we can get started painting tomorrow! yay! That was lots of work. I got new toys for the kids to play in the bathtub tonight. They were laughing so hard. That a good end of the day to hear them laughing :)

So even though it was a crazy day when I cried lots, and laughed lots it's NEVER easy but I KNOW the Lord is always watching over us and I know everything is worth it being a mom!!

Aug 16-22

Bryan and I's happenings in life this last week:
Tuesday we went to Radio Disney Day's at the Gallivan Center!! Aunt Hayley came with us and the kids I think they had fun! The sun was blazing hot but they did have water for the kids to play in! There was this guy from Tails and Scales. They did a cool reptile show. This is a Komodo dragon. I've never seen one before so i thought it was pretty amazing!
He busted out this huge 80 lb. turtle. The guy even let a little boy ride on top of the turtles shell. Wowsa!

There were lots of game booths! The kids got to knock over cans with bean bags...even though they didn't WIN they still gave them a prize to take home. A BEACH BALL!!

May loved this game. They had to hammer off a rubber frog into the air and make it go flying! They got bubbles for just trying!!

They had a bounce house waterslide with a pool at the bottom! For some reason Hunter wasn't too fond of this one and may had to go up and get him out but may loved it. Can you see the kid climbing up? he's wearing a speedo. that's right folks!! oh man!

Wed. Night I made the yummiest homemade calazones for dinner!! Best ones ever! Super easy recipe and the kids had fun playing in the dough!
http://www.utahdealdiva.com/2010/01/frugal-recipe-calzones.html
Here is the link if you ever want to make them!
My parents came out to see us. i'm excited to have a recliner couch that I can rock the new baby in when he comes! We got to eat doughnuts! My fav!

Thurs Night I got to play human fooseball with the young women! They are hilarious to be around! One of the young women honestly got hit in the face with the ball more than a dozen times. We were laughing pretty harad. Bry took the priests swimming and the kids went along! They are amazing swimmers!
Friday I broke my best blender!! Well it's the only blender we've had since we've been married but it was A WONDERFUL blender for SHAKES! I'm so sad that I didn't place it exactly on the counter and it fell off the edge and broke. Sad day:(
Friday night we had a fun ward party! The kids had a blast running around. They had their favorite friends there. Bry got in a water fight with the younger boys and he was wrestling them! I loved watching Bry play volleyball with everyone.
Saturday we worked hard on the basement and Bry got to give one of his preists his eagle scout award.
I've done amazingly well for saving up and not going out to eat everyday like I LOVE to do. I'm proud of myself!
Today in Sunday School we learned about Job. He was about as close as Jesus as you get. I learned about his amazing example of never giving up and always praising the Lord for his blessings and goodness towards us.

Alpine Days

Every summer we go down to Alpine for some good times. Parade, waterslides, firetrucks, and mutton bustin. I thought this was a fun pic of the kids waiting their turn in line. It's funny because the little boy in the front of the pic is doing exactly that....butting his way into line every moment he could. He was funny to watch.
Grandma waitin in line with May and Bubs trying not to get too wet from all the kids behind us.

The line was super long to go on the bounce house water slides so the kids only got 2 times to go.

May finally getting her turn from waiting in the long line to go on the bounce house slippin slide!

Watching the fire truck pack up to go! We had a pretty good view. They spray all the kids at the park with the fire house. We had fun eating our popsiscles and watching all the kids get sprayed

Parade morning. We got to sit right in front of the fire truck before the parade started. pretty awesome!

Waiting for lots of candy to be thrown to the kids!! They have awesome candy too! may says her favorite candy is tootsie rolls!!

We tried to go to the little rodeo for the kids. Mutton bustin was pretty awesome. But that was about it. There were too many kids and it was super hot so we didn't stay long for that one. We got to eat at a yummy pizza place for lunch on Sat. It's the same pizza up in Rexburg called "Craigos". It was fabulous. The dessert pizza's are delicious.

May jumping off the Pier!

My post before this one is about how we got to payson lakes. one of the traditions is jumping off the pier. may and her cousins got some courage from Bry and from everyone else to jump off. We were so proud of her because....NO WAY when I was that young would I had ever tried to do that!! She just kept saying it was super super cold water. She is so brave!

Call Family Tradition!

Every year we go up to Payson Lakes with the Call Familia!! It's a super fun family campout because there is so much to do and tons of fun traditions that they have up there. My camera died OF COURSE while I was up there So I got some pics from nancy to share with everyone!
My favorite pic of the 4 kiddos in the sweet orange hammock!! It was probably one of their favorite things to do! cute pic!! Lots of laughs were had in this hammock!! They even had times where we had to "take turns" so we wouldn't fight over the hammock!
This pic is out of order but when I looked back at the bubs in the car I saw him with his In N Out before we went up to go camping!!

Bry and I got this inner tube in Rexburg at a random tire store. We take it with us every year to the lake. The first time we ever rode on the tube was up at RIGBY lake. Good times. The kids love this thing!

Bry is awesome at taking the kids around in the canoe!

This pic is totally fuzzy but I love the fact that may loved helped rowing the boat and that they have these mini oars that used to be Bryan and Brad's when they were younger.

We had fun playing in the sand! bry is awesome at making fun things in the sand!!

The kids love playing with their aunt Hayley who just got home from her mission!
