The clean out continues

I have to thank Andrew for getting me started on cleaning more today. While I was walking him to class this morning he said to me, "Dude, Mom, what are you wearing?" I looked down at my capris that were a little to big a the over shirt I threw on because it was a little chilly in the house and i just hadn't taken it off. I responded with, "I look a little funny don't I?" "Ya Mom you do." I love the honesty we share in our family. So that started the clean out. I got home and put the capris in the DI bag and Catherine and I preceded to take everything out of my closet. It looks so cool now because all the shirts are together, skirts together, ext. I know many people always have there clothes this way, but it has been a long while since I have taken everything out. I said goodbye to a few more things. One of which I didn't even know I had.

Since I was in the mood to clean out and Catherine was really wanting to help, I got rid of a couple of things off the kitchen counter. First I cleared out a few things from my Pampered Chief utensil, turn style thing. Then I realized I still didn't like it. It is now in the DI bag. The things I am keeping out of it are in the old baggie, foil, plastic wrap drawer. Those items are in the old apron drawer and the aprons are in the hutch cupboard. It feels so funny to love to look in a kitchen drawer. I love it! I figure that since we are staying here for a little while I might as well enjoy it as much as possible.

I had a neat experience today. One of my friends comes over once a week while her daughter is at my neighbors house having piano lessons. She is the one that lent me the clutter clearing book, and so I usually update her on my latest success. She knew that I had gotten rid of a lot of clothing and hadn't replaced any. She showed up today at my house with a GAP bag that had three new shirts in it for me. I can't really describe how I felt, but I really appreciate her generosity. I knew that as I got rid of old it would make room for new, I just didn't know how easily it would come.

I hope that those of you who have joined the fun are having some success, even if it is only one thing a week or month. It still feels so good! Keep it up.

Football

In early September we had the chance to go to a Texas Tech game in Reno. It was fun to see so much of Levi's family. It was like a mini reunion. I love this picture of Andrew. It took him a while, but he finally started to have fun.

The clappers that Bryson is holding was definitely a highlight of the night. He kept crawling under the bleachers to find as many as we would let him.

This is a picture of Levi's mom with her mom and two of her sisters. They sure have a fun time together.

Sleep

This hasn't happened for a while, but for some time it was no wonder why Levi and I just didn't feel rested in the morning.

Catching up

This picture is from a while ago, but I love it. This is what happens with big brothers are around. She took it well.

Clean up and clear out

Over the past month or so I have had such a strong desire to clear stuff out of my life. I started with the kitchen windowseal and the top of the so called scrap book cabinet. Soon after my friend Lisa lent me her book Clearing Your Clutter with Feng Shui. She didn't know I had started and so it was fun for her to think of lending me the book.

Since then I have accomplished getting rid of a bit more clutter.

So why am I sharing? Well I haven't found the memory card reader that Levi used last, it is fun and exciting for me every time I get on more thing accomplished that wont be undone by bedtime, and maybe, just maybe I will inspire someone else to clear some of there own clutter.

So last week it was a few kitchen cuboards and a whole lot of clothes and the boys joined in with a few stuffed animals. I am excited about today because the basket of stuff that has been on my microwave is no longer their. The overly full and under used pen "cup" is also gone. I am so glad I don't ever have to look at those two things in those two places again.

I figure that when we do move someday that I don't want to move anything that doesn't benifit my family. It may take untill the end of the school year, but I don't mind. It feels so good every time more stuff leaves my house.

Let me know if you decide to join in the clutter clearing fun.

Essential Oils

I love my essential oils, and love that my sister Sarah is really getting into sharing her knowledge with others. Right now she is trying to boost traffic on her website. If you would be willing to go to her website and leave a comment she (and I) would appreciate it. You might learn some fun new facts too. Her website is www.sarahsessentials.com Thanks so much.
