Catherine

This morning when she woke up, Catherine came out to me in the family room where I was holding David. She was half way through kitchen when she asked me what today was. I told her Thursday and she asked if it was tomorrow. I said yes and she said, "now we can have popsicles."

We had bought some at Target yesterday and I told her she could only have one a day. She was waiting for tomorrow to come so she could have another one.

Kids do the darndest things

This is a little of a journal entry so take it for what it is. Tonight while we were reading scriptures Catherine was taking her turn. Levi reads a few words and she repeats them. The thing is she doesn't use here regular voice she uses the deepest voice she can muster. It is hilarious. We all try to be serious while she reads. Catherine repeated a line in that deep and almost silly/mean voice and out of the blue, while Levi was saying the next few words for her to repeat she looks over her shoulder at me and says, in her normal sweet voice, "I wish the baby was here". Then promptly turned around to read more in her grovel voice. None of us could hold it in. We all had to laugh. David was in bed during our reading tonight and I guess she missed him. We love this little girl.

Lately Bryson has not been staying in bed like he should. He gets up for anything or nothing. Tonight while I was rocking David back to sleep, Bryson came in and told me he had to ask me something. I wanted to be patient and so I asked him what is was. He told me that he had to go get it and went back to the kitchen. He came into my room with the candy thermometer wondering what in the world it was. I was wondering what in the world he was doing going through the kitchen drawers instead of laying in bed. Apparently he is getting desperate for reasons to stay out of bed. He received a short lesson on why you would use a candy thermometer and then told to be careful. The last time I had a question about a candy thermometer it was from Andrew and the thermometer didn't survive. He didn't realize until after it slipped out of his hands that is was glass. We lived in our town home when Andrew made his inquiry and the best part is I think I was in the downstairs bathroom when the whole interaction went on. Privacy for mom isn't a priority apparently.
