Playin in the SNOW

12/14/09
THIS is the FIRST time for Adam and Abigail
they weren't too sure about it at first...
actually Abby HATED it...
and Adam was ok until he'd stumble walking and
FALL into it...

Parker LOVED the snow and was SO excited about making "snow angels"
he couldn't get enough

until they tried 'eating snow'
then they were fine!!

Parker and his dad had their first
SNOW BALL FIGHT

than it turned into this.... HILARIOUS
it wasn't staged i promise haha

ADAM was ready to go inside...
we gave ABBY a chair and a snow ball and she was good to go!!

i guess all fun things come to an end...

What a FUN day in the SNOW

"Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever.Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard."

THIS IS NOT MY HOUSE!! we got this email forwarded to us!
But
James has a little side business putting up Christmas lights during the winter so when we got this email we couldn't help but laugh! but then I have been nervous enough with him on rooftops with snow that it scared me a little too... Glad he is all done and is in one piece!

ADAM IS WALKING

he has been walking for a couple weeks now... ( pictures taken 11/ 25 )
-cutest little walk ever
-hold his hands up in the air or is carrying a toy/object at all times
-first he had to be standing up to the couch to take off but now starts in the bear crawl and then just stands up
-laughs like it is still a game
-claps for himself when he falls or runs into something
-still likes to crawl as he was a SPEED CRAWLER
-throws himself on you if you are sitting down on the floor
- dances now standing up.. so funny he bounces up and down and stomps his feet
-loves backyardigans and claps when it comes on and even taps his feet along with them
-he now tries to RUN, and laughs when you chase him
-church isn't so fun as i am holding Abby and chasing Adam around the halls
- he is obsessed with shoes (always has been) but now takes our shoes and runs away with them
-Abby claps for him and laughs (maybe she is getting ideas??)
- it is NOT easy trying to take pictures of a walking baby!! most of the pics were blurry... but we did get a few. now he is too fast and doesn't stop to pose for pictures anymore!

i LOVE this stage. Adam has been walking for weeks now but every time i see him come around the corner i just love it! it is SO NICE having one out of the two walking... i won't lie.
now if Abby would try...

I am THANKFUL for my family.
This THANKSGIVING we spent it will the POULSON side and James' parents and brother Curtis came to our house. We had a wonderful day, we feel BLESSED to have spent this day with loved ones.

Where it all began....
5 sons and 1 daughter (she couldn't make it)
our FAMILY now
still missing a few... 2 cousins serving missions.. cousin living in Harisburg PA, aunt and all her family, Kalei and Jake (they were with the Luekenga's) Jarick in Boston...
we missed them
oh and the twins were here...just slept though all of the fun (we didn't complain though)

story of the handstands: James likes to challenge me in handstand contests (i beat him every time.. until i had 3 kids) the first contest I WON. then when we did it again, i moved to close to him and he 'lost' balance, LANDED ON TOP OF ME. I'll be honest i thought something was broken, as i heard a crack... and my next got scrunched pretty good. i laid there for a sec, then stood up and i thought i was fine. after a few minutes my neck hurt and then was stiff for the next 3 days!! he felt bad, don't worry and was nice to me after that. maybe we'll wait to have another contest.. maybe not
the other picture are of the Graham family playing their favorite sport, SOCCER!!

Papa and baby Lyla { love this picture }
a few seconds later Lyla was sound asleep

Everyone wrote down

something that they

were THANKFUL

for and then we read

them out loud. LOVE this holiday as there is always SO many things to be grateful for

Conversation with Parker:
{ he was playing around and started saying that he was packing up and going to Curt's house }

Parker: I'm driving to curt's house. i only need two things
Mom: what are you going to take?
Parker: My hat and a hatchet
Mom: (making sure that is what he just said) what is a hatchet Parker?
Parker: it is the thing you cut the chickens HEAD OFF with!!
Mom: (trying not to laugh) what?
Parker: yeah we are going to cut off their heads and eat them tommorrow for THANKSGIVING!
Mom: where did you learn that?
Parker: Pre-school
haha i laughed so hard and still am laughing... love this boy so much

sorry miss Patti, if you read this. He does tell me "other" great things he learns at school:)

HAPPY "late" THANKSGIVING

Nanny opportunity

In summary, The family that I nannied for 6 years ago (wow, that is crazy) is currently looking for a nanny for their two children, Julia 12 yrs. and Tommy 8 yrs. Their current nanny will be leaving right before Christmas as planned so they are looking for someone to start right after the new year. They are looking for a live-in, to work five days a week (7:30 am to 7 pm), Monday through Friday as both Ed and Cathy work full time. They live in a town called Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, a nice, safe suburban area about 30 miles west of Manhattan (NYC). The kids are in full time school Monday through Friday (8 am to 3 pm) so the nanny has a fair amount of down time during the day during the school year. The kids usually have several summer camp activities during the summer, primarily the mornings. After school, the nanny’s responsibilities would be to help Tommy get his homework done after school, make a meal for them for dinner, and drive them to their activities (cheer practice, soccer, religious education, etc.).
If if you know anyone interested in a nanny opportunity, CALL ME! or leave a comment. I LOVE this family to death. I still keep in touch with them and i know if you are looking to be a nanny for a family than THIS is the family to go with. You will love it, and have such a great experience!
AREN'T THEY JUST ADORABLE!!? love them

update: They found a nanny! so happy for them. wish them all the best

FUN FACTS OF MY 3 CRAZIES

okay for all of YOU that do 'weekly' posts... gosh the day comes up fast!! but it is crazy how much can happen in one week!

{ PARKER }
1. he has discovered a LOVE for Wii MARIO CART!
-he thinks it is fun to fall into the water (and die) he laughs hysterically
-he runs into the objects that kill you and thinks it is funny
-he turns the wheel side to side much more than needed, but it is funny
-he likes to be donkey Kong or Bowser every time. He likes picks out the 'coolest' car to race with
-all and all he has actually become better and can stay on the road now!
-my boy is GROWING UP! sigh... but it is fun to play 'big kid' stuff with him
-i guess i can add that we got the "old school" Super Mario brothers 3 for the Wii and I am becoming a little addicted... brings back SO many memories! haha.
Parker thinks it is fun too.. but it is a little hard for him

ADAM and ABBY like 'playing' the Wii as well
2. in pre-school they had been doing 'colors' and each day they were to wear a different color. the last day he brought home a booklet that his teacher had put together with the story: Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do You See? I see a ..... looking at me. Each page was colored with the color they had talked about that day. The end had a picture of all the kids in their Halloween costumes and a picture from their field trip at the fire station. It was SO cute and Parker loves it. He reads it all the time and showed his Papa when he paid us a visit last night.

3. he tells me he likes the GLUE projects at school, CUT paper with scissors, and PAINT as well.

4. Parker says to me, Mom I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK! oh i love him
(he has actually said this for a while now, but just said it to me last night at bedtime and i can't help but love it every time)

{ OUR PLAYROOM }

-I can't tell you enough how much we LOVE our playroom!
-it is so much fun for the kids... and us too
-they play well in there together and can be left for long periods of time... we are not far i promise!

-they crawl to the 'table' daily and want to get over it
(yes that is our gate, no door so we had to block it off somehow)

-they chase each other around in circles over and over

-they can make a HUGE mess (we are working on this part) at least getting Parker to help me clean it up!

ABBY and ADAM had been a little afraid to go through the 'tunnel' but once Parker got them to do it, we can't keep them out! only problem is they get stuck in the middle as they try to go different ways! peekaboo is a favorite from both ends too! they are getting to be so fun!

their HAIR is my favorite when they come out of the tunnel!

we like to read books in this room too. Parker picks them out and we at least try to get through a few before Adam rips them apart. Adam's new thing is he backs up to you, sits on your lap and hands you a book to read. it is cute even if he shuts the book after the first page!

i think they like playing with Parker's toys more than their own. OR just pulling all the toys out of the containers... that is more fun to them. It is funny to watch them drive the cars around and make the noises, Abby is right along side of the boys, will she be a tomboy!? ha probably NOT

The last row of pictures kill me... that is Abby getting mad at Adam because she wants to sit on the 'doll bed' yes she slapped him and then started crying herself... drama drama

toys TOYS toys what would you do without them!?
p.s. ADAM IS WALKING!!! I will try to take pictures soon. He has the cutest little walk ever!

{ NIGHT FUN }

A pirate's life... is a wonderful life
what does a pirate say? a pirate says ARRRR
What do you do with a scurvy pirate... make him WALK THE PLANK

yes Parker repeated those all night... and still does

sword fighting... made the night!

can I PLEASE go trick or treating NOW??

{TRICK or TREATING }

Parker came home from going house to house and said THIS chocolate cake is ALL MINE!

I'm not going to lie... halloween hasn't always been my 'favorite' holiday but this year it was FUN. i think having kids helps out a little in that! but one thing I have always enjoyed is seeing all the kids in their costumes! people are pretty CREATIVE! it was fun staying home and seeing all our neighbors/cousins / friends come trick or treating. We all had a great day!
