More pics of Clara

We went to visit Carlianne again a couple days ago and it's amazing how much babies change from day to day. Clara is just getting cuter!

Beautiful in pink!

I wish I could take credit for these two pictures, but Mary was playing around with my camera and got some very good shots!

Carli has been discovering how nice it is to have Mom around when a new baby comes.

This girl is definitely her daddy's, but I see Carli in her eyebrows.
Look at that tiny little body!

I love the funny faces newborns make! So cute!

Introducing....Clara Lorraine Ball!

This is Blake and Carlianne's new little baby, Clara. She was born yesterday at 4:00AM at home! Carli did so well, and Blake was a perfect support, as I've heard. Carli went into labor at 10:00 the night before, and expected to labor all night and into the day like I did, but thankfully, she is a quick one like Mary and Angela (and Katie on one, right?). Clara weighed in at 7 lbs, 14 oz, and 20 and 1/2 inches long. She was 15 days past due, but judging by the size and health of her, she came just on time!

She has sandy blonde hair that curls when it's wet. It is quite thick in the back!

Love those newborn faces!

Auntie Mary, looking beautiful as always!

And the proud new mommy! I love seeing Mom and Dad's old bed in the background. The same bed in most of our baby pictures! Home birth is such a neat experience. I'm so glad things went smoothly for Carlianne. And Elsie is delighted that she has a little girl cousin her age! Now she's got one of each (Krew on the other side), so she is one lucky little girl!

The Girls in their Christmas Dresses

I don't know why these didn't post last time, but here they are now, I hope!
This is Kate folding her arms for a prayer. She loves to pray. She will spontaneously break out into prayer, and when she prays before meals, it is seriously the cutest thing. She keeps her eyes closed the whole prayer sometimes! And she says just about the whole thing on her own.
Finally, a sister picture that is pretty good! I love it!

Elsie at Five Months

Mmm....I could eat her up! (I know I say that a lot. I don't know how else to describe it!)
This is an outfit our friends, the Lundblades gave to us. They are so sweet to always think of our kids when they see an outfit to cute to pass up!
Adoring Mimi...
This baby has been so much fun. She is so sweet all of the time. She is starting to get more friendly now, too. She smiles at just about everyone! She also loves to play on her tummy with toys now. She rolls over to her back every few minutes, though. She is growing up too fast!

Christmas Dresses

Angela was so nice to hand down a darling little Christmas dress for Kate last week. I LOVE it on her! SO, I put Elsie's Chrstmas dress on (a hand-me-down from Katelynn), and Quincy in his nicest Sunday clothes, and attempted pictures again. If I had photo shop, I would put this picture of Quincy with the best picture of the girls. I just couldn't get them all perfect at once. I think it's impossible.

And there is the little devil in Quincy that he so well conceals with his smile!

Kate was done smiling...

Weekend Getaway!

Paul and I got away this weekend with some of his family. We went to Salt Lake and did a little shopping, and lot of good eating, and walking around Temple Square. It was such a fun weekend, and a good break from a couple kids. We had Elsie, of course, but she was a perfect angel, and hardly made a fuss (except for at night, so we didn't sleep...what's new?)
The lights were pretty, but it was a little too crowded to be able to feel the spirit of Christmas. Maybe it would have been nicer in a couple weeks, after the newness wears off.
Bruce and Terrie are alwasy so fun to be with. I count myself VERY blessed to have them as my second parents.
Doug, Kate, and Krew came, too. That little guy is too cute, and only three months older than Elsie, so I'm sure they will be best buds! Allen and Dave were there, too, but I failed to get a picture. Sorry, guys...

Little things...

This toy room at McKenzie's parent's house is SO cute! This little couch was just right for little ones.
This is every little girls dream!
This is my cousin, Chelsea's cute little girl, Mary. She was cooking up something tasty!

Harrison and McKenzie

It was so fun to witness this wedding. There couldn't have been a more excited bride! And rightly so...she waited for SO LONG for this kid to come around! We're proud of you Harrison! You done good!
They were so cute all day. So in love. And now they are gone off to their "secret" honeymoon. He kept it a secret from everyone, including McKenzie! He said they'll be gone for a couple weeks. Can't wait to hear where they went! What a guy!
The beautiful bride!
Harrison and Chris are now second cousins....and brothers-in-law! How cool is that?! They are going to have too much fun!

Firewood...Again!

Yesterday, we went up to the mountains again to get another load of wood. It had snowed that night, so we packed up the kids, their snow clothes, some food, and headed up!

Dad was so nice to help Paul by running the chainsaw. Paul's brother, Dave came and helped load. Mom and I helped load the logs for a while, and I am SO sore today. I guess I'm not used to hard physical labor anymore!

My handsome little man in his new snowsuit. (Is it okay to put a boy in a yellow snowsuit? I thought it was cute...)

Mom and Dad built a nice fire in their fire pit they put up in a cozy little spot by their trailer. It is really fun up there! (Can't wait till all my brothers and sisters can come enjoy it with us!)

Mom was nice to hold Elsie for me. She wasn't having as much fun as the others. She was bundled up pretty good. Probably feeling a little claustrophobic.

There's the little trailer in the background. We had a nice little breakfast for lunch in there. Mom cooked up some tasty hashed browns, pancakes, and eggs. Everything tastes better when you're camping!

Quincy and Katelynn had a lot of fun exploring the woods.

I love that they are starting to play together now.

Quincy wandered off to where he couldn't see me and when he got back he made sure I knew he wasn't scared!

Seriously. This girl is always making funny faces! I guess it kinda looks like she's crying, but she's not. She's scrunching her nose and making a funny smile. Silly girl!

I didn't get good pics of Elsie since she wasn't too happy. I just love those cheeks, though!

I think they kids each ate a gallon of snow. Hope it wasn't yellow...

There's a couple good faces!

Quincy was fascinated by seeing his own breath in the cold air.

Thanks, Mom and Dad, for creating a good family outing for us! And for helping us get wood! We'll be greatful all winter long!
