Week 11 (She is sitting in the Bumbo, we really like that she can sit up in this seat, thanks SVC!)
Week 12 (Nora made it to 12 weeks on Christmas day.)During our Week 12 photo shoot in her Christmas jammies, she was really spastic, so you get to see the wings her arm became while taking pictures. She's funny.
Here is Nora with Jen, Kristin and Hayley on Christmas Eve at our pajama party (that my family does every year). Nora loves her cousins and is wearing pajamas that Hayley wore the last two years. Yep, we love having girl cousins that are just older than Nora. Jen also had a broken foot in the picture, so she was in a lot of pain. Jen's a trooper!
This is Nora on Christmas morning 2008. You can see how excited she is.
She tried to get the paper for opening presents, but we did most of it for her.
This is the cute hat and gloves that Crystal gave Nora for Christmas. You can see that she really likes them. Nora says, "Thanks Crystal, you are da bomb!" She told me that, I promise. Then after a hearty breakfast made by my parents, Dad decided to go sledding. He promised a couple of my nephews that he would take them on Christmas day. It was a complete blizzard outside, and that made it more exciting for my dad. He could hardly wait to get outside and drive his truck with 4 wheel drive. My mom didn't want to go out in the yucky weather, so we left Nora with her and headed out. We invited the rest of the family and made it to the hill. The snow was coming down sideways, and it stung when it hit our faces, but it was a good time. Here are some of the pictures I snapped.
An action shot of my dad coming down the hill. Here's Beau making his way down the hill. I'm pretty sure that Beau and my dad went down more than anyone else. They couldn't get enough. Ahhh, good times.
Don't we look like we are having the time of our lives! Good thing we didn't bring Nora. Brrrr...
When we got home it was time to shovel the drive way. Here's a tangent... everywhere we drove that day there were people stuck. We were still pretty warm because of our sledding gear, so we were able to help some people get un-stuck. It was fun, and made the Christmas a little more memorable. Back on track... here is the snow that was piled on Beau's car. Some of it fell on there and some of it is from drifting snow. Seriously, there was A LOT of snow.
It takes some good muscles to get that snow moving. Good thing Beau has some good ones to use. As our family members showed up, they all grabbed a shovel to get the driveway cleared. It took about 4 shovels, several people and about an hour to get the driveway cleared. Nice work boys! Here's a good story about my wonderful nephew Ronnie. He is 18 and way too cool for anything, but when he got there he took my snow shovel and told me to go inside and he would take care of it for me. What a great nephew, thanks Ronnie! You are great.
The rest of the day was spent playing games and going to dinner. My sister Raquel and her family invited the sister missionaries over for dinner, and we got to go too. The had really good ham, potatoes, brussel sprouts, yummy drink and other good stuff. It was fun to hang out over there and spend some time with them. This is a pictures of Alexandra (she is currently going by Alexa) holding Nora. Nora is so loved! Can you tell?
This is what happens when I leave my camera upstairs during a family party. I think Courtnie (my niece) is responsible for all of these pictures except the last one. That was a self-portrait by Russell, my brother-in-law. Courtnie is Russell's daughter so I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Thanks for the fun pictures!
