That's right! We are going to see Wicked here is Salt Lake City. Beau was able to get tickets through a guy at work. We won't be going until April 18th, but WAHOO!!! I've been waiting for it to come to Utah FOREVER! It was worth making a trip to NYC a few years ago to see it, but I'm really excited to see it again. Even Beau is excited and he doesn't even like musicals! Yipee! Thanks Beau and Jeff for getting it all arranged!

Relay For Life

This last weekend we were able to participate in the Relay for Life in West Jordan. Donnarae and Jon put together a team, and the family did a lot to help raise money. Relay for Life is where you have at least one person from your team walking all night long. Of course, Beau and I can't be awake during the night, so we took an evening shift and a morning shift. It was fun to get out and hang out with a bunch of people in the park. It was really just a big party. Here are a few pictures.

Kenny and Jen selling glow sticks. Nice work on getting the booth ready to go!

This is Beau and I walking in the morning. Beau decided that he needed a little extra exercise (more than an hour of walking) so he ran the 5 or 6 miles from home to the park. He really enjoyed it.

And another random picture (from that weekend). I thought that most people wouldn't be able to see my big belly in the Park City pictures, but some people noticed anyway. I decided I needed to document how big I am. I had someone at church tell me that I didn't even look pregnant, so I guess I'm not that big. Just in case you were wondering, I feel big. Anyway, enjoy the picture!

Get Away

We were able to go and celebrate our Anniversary (finally). We spent the weekend in Park City. It was pretty cold, and Beau got to run among the snow flurries Saturday morning, but it turned out to be a nice relaxing weekend. Here are some pictures to show that we really went. We are still not very good at remembering to take pictures (seeing as how we only took pictures at the Olympic Park), but oh well.
Here's Beau in a Bobsled, trying to figure out how it works.

Here are the training facilities for the summer time. Nobody was training the day that we were there, but it should start soon. We might have to go up to see how it works.

This is a buffalo head that they used during the opening ceremonies. It was pretty cool looking, and you can kind of see the moose in the background. It had something to do with the native tribes in Utah, but I can't remember what.

Here we are looking like we are lighting the torch. It was quite the adventure because right before my picture, I broke the torch off the wall. It was so funny that I cried. One would think that it was the pregnancy that makes the tears so easy to come, but alas... I've always been that way. It seriously took about 5 minutes to get a picture of me with the torch because we couldn't stop laughing. (See how composed I am?)
Beau the fierce skier! Who knew he was so determined?

And a random picture of us at the Mountain Meadows Massacre Memorial. This is from the weekend we went to St. George with Donnarae and Jon. It was a lovely day, and a place I've always wanted to visit.

It's a...

well we're not sure. From the ultrasound pictures a few weeks ago, it looks like an alien. We decided not to find out if we should be expecting a boy or a girl, but we definitely know it's a baby. Everything looks normal according to the doctor, so that's a good thing.

I apologize for not updating the blog sooner. Here are the reasons: For a while it was because we were not doing anything exciting. Then we got to go to St. George for Memorial weekend and took a picture that we could put on here. I told Beau that he needed to update the blog because he's never done it before. We have had quite the discussion about that for a few days, and neither of us did any updating. Today I'm bored and in the writing mood, so I decided to take the reins and "get 'er done."

Nothing too exciting to report here, but we are enjoying life after tax season and morning sickness. I feel the baby move all the time now, and it's both weird and exciting. It's still not very big, so nobody else can feel it. Beau thinks he did once, but is not really sure. I'm pretty sure the baby (that we don't like to call him/her "it" so we will take suggestions for a nickname) is going to be a morning person like Beau. He/She moves around A LOT in the mornings, so I'm preparing Beau to be ready to entertain him/her while I sleep in. We'll see how that goes.

We've been talking about what baby stuff we need to get, but I get overwhelmed quite easily just walking though the baby section at Target because there is SO MUCH stuff. I'm sure we'll figure it out one of these days and we'll be prepared when it's time. We still have time. Sometimes the due date (which is officially October 2nd) seems really far away, and sometimes it feels too close for comfort. It's kind of crazy, but we are excited to see the changes that the baby will bring.

Again I apologize for the long absence of posts from our blog, and I also apologize of the absence of pictures from the last two posts. We will have to work on remembering to bring our camera so when the baby is around we can at least take pictures of him/her. (See what I mean about saying "it"? Using it would be much easier, but I just can't get myself to use it with a person.)
